I know, I know, I know, saying the words "Ron Artest in trouble" is no longer breaking news, but this latest tidbit doesn't involve him starting war on a court, releasing a rap album, or harming an animal.
Or making it rain. (Pacman's got that arena covered.)
Hmmmm ... so what bizarre/controversial feat is left for him to accomplish?
Well, it looks like Ron-Ron has gone Lifetime television on us, and was arrested for allegedly hitting his wife.
That's never a good look for anyone, but especially not a good look for the Sacremento Kings star who has been "excused from the team" indefinitely. God only knows when we will see him in a Sacremento jersey again.
What's really sad about this (you know, other than him beating a woman), is that I don't think anyone is really shocked or surprised by Artest's latest incident, especially after he revealed his favorite quote in his recent advice column for Dime Magazine:
My favorite quote is "I'ma smack the [expletive] out of you."
How's that for profound?
It's also worth noting that according to Ben Maller, Artest's wife smashed his white Hummer windshield with a frying pan ... while he was still in the SUV. Oh, those crazy kids. I can't wait till this story hits Lifetime as the movie of the week.
If the Kings don't want him back, I'm sure the folks in Cell Block D have a roster spot for him.
Update: Hear the 911 call.

I would like to make a comment on everything that everyone is putting on here. My brother has never hit a woman a day in his life. That is the first and last time he will be doing this. She made it seem like this is a regular thing. AND IT IS NOT. My brother is a good person and he is very kind hearted. None of you know the person outside of ron artest NBA player i do. And kimisha is a bold face liar !!!!!

Nobody is judging him and he not innocent until proven guilty, he is presumed to be innocent until proven guilty. He will never be proven guilty, because he will plead, most lilely to a lessor charge, and get a no jail time sentence. She, will come back and facilitate more violence upon her body and subject herself to more mental abuse. Although, she can't change the woman/women beater/abuser, beat/abuse one you do it to all women, she can most certain change her mindset...Sister, either get strong, if you are not yet and stay strong if you are. This is not so muc about the Ron Artests of the world, but how women view themselves...Peace out...

To all o you who have said " we are not judge...one is innocent until proven guilty( the correct legal term is presumed innocent until proven guilty, there is a difference...who have said women are being beaten and abuse every day all the time all over the world...I ask you this; Does that make it right or is it your way of humanizing an animal...which is what a man acts like when he perpretrates violence, wheather it be physical, mental, emotional, spiritual...and some forms of violence that we don't have a name for yet. I say not...
