Actually, by vacation, I mean suspension. The NFL has officially suspended the Titans cornerback for the entire season. And he won't be alone: Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry is suspended for the first eight games of the season.
Commissioner Roger Goodell sent a letter to both Jones and Henry concerning the suspension. (Awww, that's so sweet and personal. No one sends letters anymore.) Here's what the commish had to say:
OK, that wasn't exactly sweet. That was more of a "shame on you, punks" type of letter.
So you make it rain a little, have a knack for being in the middle of gunfire, and may have had about 10 or so run-ins with the law, and all of a sudden you're an "embarrassment" to the NFL.
Oh, wait, those are actually some shady things. My bad.
Shame on you.

Adam Jones should take a page from Ray Lewis: Find out who your "dawgs" are and who are your "boys." Cut your boys loose, and keep your dogs. They will continue to be with you no matter what. The NFL is a business. I've read a synoposis of your life. ALL BLACK MEN MUST HAVE SOMEONE TO KEEP THEIR PSYCHE'S IN CHECK. THE DOMINANT CULTURE SEES YOU AS LITTLE MORE THAN A COMMODITY THAT CAN BE EXPLOITED AND DEPOSED OF AT WILL. You must spent time finding out who Adam Jones is, and less who "PACMAN IS." Your dawgs will tell you the truth, even if it means they lose your friendship. Take it from someone who has had quite a few teammates and friends play in the NFL. It's a privelege to play in the NFL, NOT A RIGHT.

A black man with a reoccuring scrape with law officials will always have this type of attention. It is doubly worse if said person is famous. One must consider what he represents to others before making decisions at all times and even more so when fame is added to the mix. Perception is reality. That is the motto of the society we live in. We are all judged by our relations and it seems that this society focuses more on the negative of certain races than the positives. When the offender is Caucasian, the media (if they mention it at all) seems to move onto another story rather quick, whereas if the person is African-American or any other minority, the story seems to stick around longer than it ever should. Why is that? The powers that be will never address that question or even admit to its' occurence, so I will leave it open for personal contemplation.

The NFL is getting out of hand get in to people person life. What who do on his time is his own time. They the player have lost there freedom to do nothing but be slaves to the NFL jump we say jump, sleep when we say sleep,and speak when we say speak. Where is the freedom this country say we have
