Sure, LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers are facing the possibility of being swept away in the NBA Finals (Update: the Spurs did indeed sweep the Cavs), but not all is sad and gloomy (although you probably wouldn't want to be a Cavs fan -- or someone who loves Cleveland sports-- right now).

LeBron and his girlfriend, Savannah Brinson, welcomed their second son, Bryce Maximus James, on Thursday.

The 8-lb, 6-oz baby was born at 12:51 a.m. in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. The couple also have 2-year-old LeBron Jr.

"LeBron and Savannah are overjoyed with the birth of their son," a rep for the couple says, "and are looking forward to bringing him home to his big brother, LeBron Jr."

Savannah was previously expected to deliver the couple's second son on June 17, the night of a potential Game 5 in Cleveland . Nice to see Baby Bryce is already acting like a pro, choosing to make things less complicated and enter the world on a no-game day.

Somebody give this kid a high five and a Gatorade.

Although, even if Bryce had been born on the 17^th, LeBron probably wouldn't have to choose between being present for the birth of his son or playing in Game 5. After all, the Spurs are one win away from a four-game sweep and an NBA title.

There likely won't be a Game 5. (As predicted, there wasn't.)
