You see, I've spent the past week out of the office having some fun battling a viral infection. (Really, you haven't had fun until you've spent days running to the bathroom every 10 minutes. What? TMI? I share because I love.)
But I digress ...
While I was using my sick leave to catch up on 'General Hospital' (that Sonny Corinthos may be the worst --yet loveable -- mobster ever), a lot happened in the sports world. For example, the Colts proved they really are hella good, the Browns let us know they really are that bad, Serena had some choice naughty-words, and everyone is apparently learning how to 'Crank Dat' on YouTube.
(OK, so the latter isn't sports related or something that just happened in the last week but it's funny as hell. My personal favorite, 'Crank Dat Grandpa')
Now that I think about it, being sick at home is kick-ass fun. Well, it was until I watched the MTV VMAs Sunday night. I turned away from the Cowboys-Giants game to check out a chunky, possibly drunk, Britney Spears wobble her way through a jaw-dropping (for all the wrong reasons) performance.
After watching the performance, I couldn't help but think:
1. Why didn't anyone in Camp Britney tell the star that maybe, just maybe, parading around on stage in her undies ... not a brilliant idea? Hey, baby weight is baby weight and Brit hasn't lost it. This is a sign to us all, Britney Spears is friendless.
2. I have never been a Britney Spears fan, but back in the day, Mariah Carey she was not, but Britney knew a thing or two about dancing and choreography. I'm guessing those booze-nights have taken their toll and she's forgotten that dance moves look best when sharp ... and on beat ... in addition to possessing some sort of rhythm. (See Chris Brown)
3. How the hell does one mess up lip synching 'Gimme More'? Really ... not that hard of a song, but apparently possible to screw up, especially when you decide not to move your lips ... at all.
And most importantly, I thought:
4. I need to get healthy and back to work before my life and career spiral out of control and I end up friendless, rhythmless, and thinking, "I used to be hot ... now not so much."
So many thanks go out to Brit. You truly are an inspiration.

I won't even front, Britney's booty was the best part of her performance. Baby weight isn't that bad if it's in the right place.

Watching Britney, the ex-Disney Princess was like watching why MTV need to be yank off the air. After months of trashy behavior beyond words and all of her girl gone wild x-rated cootie shows, that the entire world got to see, only proves that if you are white, anything you do is alright! She gets rewarded to be the opening act for MTV!
They have came up with the usual excuses. It was everybody fault but Britney's. She didn't have time to lose that baby weight. Duh! She could have hired a trainer and took her career and children serious.
All I am going to say is, all the Mothers who have young daughters who are fans of Britney's, get ready, because they want to be just like her!

Britney is a mess, I do agree w/ Kanye saying that MTV set her up. They were on the winning side either way. If she had a bangin performance then hey she came back on mtv and if she bombs...hey she did it on mtv and we still win! The girl needs to focus on her and her kids. Can she make a come back.........doubt it. Does she really want to? Doesn't look like it, maybe a whole lot of people behind the scenes need to let Britney be her own person for a while... or move out the country. lol. I feel bad for her but i know one thing...sick of seeing and hearing about her...UGH

J Just look at the facts.....They banned Janet Jackson from MTV and she was there FIRST ICON! But Britney has had a tumble of a life and they would glorified her threw those times and not once said she was performing LIVE. Yes Janet and Justin made the mistake on the Super Bowl but we see who got the better end of the stick. So I think you need to get over it that racial does exist. Trust me it does and it is alive and well. But it is kwel because as you see Brit is a product and not the real thing. It all comes out of the wash! Yeah there ratings went up but it also highlighted the troubled network. Let's see how many peeps will tune in next year!

I do agree with Kanye in the fact that Brittany was set up for optimal failure by the network station. Each and every person in her organization knew she was not ready to do this. I believe just from what I see, she may have known this as fact too. I think the reason Brittany did this was because people convinced her of the untruths about herself and her image. She possibly felt that people would graciously accept her back as the musical icon she use to be known as even after the issues of her drinking hit the televisions and the tabloids. What is so sad about this whole thing is, for a moment Brittany tried to as known as normal. She truthfully may have gone overboard with this and if someone who could have seriously talked to her and helped her prior to all of the issues that have come forth, this particular issue may not have been up for discussion. However, that is the sins of entertainment. Getting caught up in situations that can't be explained. However, I do propose a question to all of those who are writing to these blogs including myself, if this were you, can you honestly say this couldn't have happened to you. Even if this stuff weren't true, truth is, could you honestly handle this type of things being said about you? I guess this is what makes entertainment interesting...Being able to criticize people that are in the public eye at all times adn not once taking moment to look at ourselves and wonder, could this happen to us. - G

Judging Britney's performance on the VMA and her "comeback" or lack thereof on the basis of her weight is a perfect example of how American priorities are completely f!@#ed up. Get real people. Even if she had put on weight and even if she was above her BMI, my God, why does this matter so much? She looks perfectly healthy even if she has a few extra pounds compared to pre-pregnancy Britney. We aren't talking about morbid obesity or something...her weight shouldn't (nor should anyone's) be given such importance unless it is a medical condition (and that's really not our business either folks). Weight is a NUMBER people. It doesn't define who a person is...or define a performance. Oh wait, is Britney different? Is that what her fans and society REALLY want? Not a good performance of a song but a thin blonde babe shaking a bit better? Well, that's just shallow. It is so shallow it makes me want to vomit. The shame is on all of YOU America and not Britney POSSIBLY carrying a FEW extra pounds. If Britney gets any blame, it is for feeding you vampires what you wanted back in the day. I could reference my weight and height and stats here but the fact is, this has nothing to do with who I am as a person and my opinion...why would my dress size support my opinion? It doesn't. But maybe I am different in that I don't give a crap about everyone's lengthly personalization of their weight and how it relates to Britney and her current drama. I mean, spare me - it means as little as Britney's weight. America, get a f!@#'g life.

she is soooooooooooooo NOT fat. She's neither fat nor talented, but she is human and there are plenty of other people who have just as many demons (who probably have NOT had the stress in their lives that this young woman has, especially from having literally been thrust into stardom at a very tender age) and who don't have a sufficient support syatem just as Britney obviously doesn't. If anyone really wants so help her then pray for and with her (for those close enough to her to be in a posution to do so). For everyone go check your closet, because I'm willing to bet there are more tan a few cobwebs and skeletons that are awaiting your attention. I am not a fan, but I am a mother and a woman who had plans for her life, that I am still working the kinks out of, and while I am not a super-star (nor do I want that life) i do know what its like for people to be paying more attention to your life than their own and trying to guess at or assume they know what you're going through when they truly have no clue. Let GOD judge us all and have mercy on those of us who think we can do HIS job better than He or his enthroned king, jesus Christ can. Proverbs 10:18 & 19 may provide a good view of how GOD feels about denigrating others. Good Day. :)

She never was a great singer but she was very cute and then she grew up kissed madonna on stage and it was down hill from there. Drinking and drugging and carrying on. She can`t even keep her balance. She was standing straight up and almost fell a couple of times. she needs to repent and give her life to Christ and allow the indwelling poer of the Holy Ghost to transform her by the renewing of her mind before it`s to late. A good start would be to stop showing your kitty cat when you get out of cars and keep your clothes on in public. Stay home for a while and take care of your kids. I`m sure you are not broke. Come back later when you get yourself together. It`s OK your still young, you`ve got plenty of time. Slutty, trampy, and trashy is just not working for you anymore, grow up and try modesty and class for a change. What have you got to lose? Or do you think an morally upright human being wont sell any records due to the flood of pornographic mindset that is overrunning our society. Maybe you fell your talent is not enough to succeed without taking your clothes off. Sounds to me more like a prostitute than an entertainer. romans8.noniworks.net

She now needs to focus on motherhood and leave the spotlight. She is obviously tired and not able to perform anymore. Visit http://executees.net
