Taylor died at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he had been taken after being shot once in the leg early Monday morning.
There had been encouraging signs late last night when Taylor squeezed the nurses hand, but things took a turn for the worse through the course of the night."His father called and said he was with Christ and he cried and thanked me," said [Richard] Sharpstein, Taylor's former lawyer. "It's a tremendously sad and unnecessary event. He was a wonderful, humble, talented young man, and had a huge life in front of him. Obviously God had other plans."
Taylor had died a day after he was shot in the upper leg by a home intruder, damaging an artery and losing a significant amount of blood.
As great as an athlete he was, he wasn't just a football player. He was a father, a son, a brother and a boyfriend. Now those people are left to live a life without him all because of some senseless, unnecessary act of violence.

I have been just reading the comments aboiut the untimely death of Sean Taylor. I must say that i am
very saddened that a young mans life has shortened at a young age especially when it has just begun. I have a nephew who just celebrated his 24th birthday the same age that Sean Taylor was. We as black americans
MUST ( I repeat ) must educate our children be it our neices, nephews, cousins about what is at stake and
not to take our lives for granted because we are becoming a deteriorating race right now. As for Pimp Daddy or whoever he is the name suits him. Again my thouights and prayers are with the family.

I may be wrong, but intuition tells me the intruder who muderered Sean was not a stranger to him. Creeps who rob homes don't usually make loud noises and they are more likely than not to enter a home between 3-5 A.M. when people are well into their sleep. Robbers usually want to steal good and leave. They usually don't enter bedrooms around that time with a gun drawn. I think this was an intended attack on Sean. The intent was not neccessarily to kill him, but he's dead just the same.

My prayers are with the family of Sean Taylor. No parent wants to imagine their child leaving this world before them. None of us could possible imagine the pain of his parent(s) unless you've lost a child whether it be to violence or not; losing a child is an absolute tradgey no matter how it happens. No matter what Sean Taylor past is as the media keeps reminding us he was gods' child and he still is. Sean body may be gone but his spirit and life will live through those that knew him to carry on. As I stated this is a tragedy and my prayers are with the family. God will give you the strength to make it through this awful time. Pray & keep faith in god the almighty he will carry you when you can no longer carry yourself.
