Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas is feeling a little blue these days. For one, he's going to miss the next three months after undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus and microfracture in his knee. And now, according to his blog, it appears Agent Zero and his girlfriend are taking a break from one another:
You know what? When stuff goes bad it goes bad. I just broke up with my girlfriend and I don't get to see my kids for a while because of the breakup.Honestly, I should cry a river for Gilbert. Anyone who's ever gone through a breakup -- or dealt with someone driving them crazy -- knows it ain't fun. However, I'm inclined to believe this "breakup" won't last very long.
That happened right before those two games last week. I was so happy, went out and performed well with 30 and 11 and came back the next night with 28 and I was thinking, "Oh yeah, it was her that was bringing my spirits down..."
Now she's back in California. You ask for space, you know, because everything feels closed in ... the house is dirty, the kids are drawing on the walls and on the couches and you're thinking, "Oh man, I can't do this. I'm not playing well and I'm coming home to all this."
So you ask for space and now you got clean walls, clean furniture and you're lonely.
And now you got to sit out three months. Oh man. I guess it has to get bad so it can get good.
After all, this is the same woman who chased him all over our great country with the intent to embarrass and serve him a paternity suit on national television.
From a Washington Post article on Arenas:
The ordeal went on so long it actually became a running gag with some of the Wizards. "We made it into a big joke," Arenas said. "My teammates would say, 'Gil's on the run again,' or, 'You dodged that one like "The Matrix." ' Oakland, Sacramento, Houston, Chicago. They were trying to serve me everywhere. I would stay under an alias."
In Oakland, Arenas narrowly escaped being served when teammate Donnell Taylor was mistaken for him at a practice, giving Arenas enough time to flee.
"All I heard was: 'We're going to get him by any means necessary. If he's shooting a free throw, we'll run on that floor and embarrass him, that's what we're going to do.' It got that crazy and nasty," Arenas said.
One would think drama like that would be enough to break up a couple, but instead it was a reason to procreate again. The two recently had a second child.
So if he couldn't break it off with a woman who had him hiding in hotel rooms under aliases then, I doubt a dirty house, some crayon on the wall, in addition to three months of couch-sitting is going to make these two call it quits permanently now.

Dont Worry Gil you can find a girl on the southside, uptown, P.G. or Mo. County. You wont be lonely for long. Get healthy and take the Wiz deep into the playoffs. Caron and Twan are holding it down while you gone. Haywood, Andre and Nick have step their game up too. By the time you come back everybody on the team will get better and we will be ready to do some serious damage in the playoffs. Get healthy,
re-sign, and come back stonger than ever!

This is a sad story. A stay at home wife/mom that does not keep the house clean and the children in tow is an example of her upbringing, and should be something that she would want to get away from. She probably doesn't cook either. But you can bet that they'll be back together again. Misery loves company.
Now about the game....if home life is miserable, it does affect your performance. While you're at home trying to heal, take care of this matter. Explain to her how this could affet your game performance. You must love her, or have some feelings. You keep having babies. If it's just a sex thing, start protecting yourself. Or before you know it, you'll be on the trading block.

I would say leave now and save your money! But those kids do need their father around. You have to do what's not only bets for you, but do what's best for the kids also. If things are worse if you stay, bounce son!

Gilbert needs to grow up! Be a man, step up to the plate, take care of your family, make your girlfriend be responsible for all of the duties that are required to keep your home in order and clean (and you can contribute and do the same)and be a MAN!

Why should she come back... she's got what she wants, she got the kids so therefore she's got the money for the next 18 years at least. If he was coming home to that she wasn't doing her job at home raising and discipling those children or either it was okay with him cause he could have stepped in and told them no. But chances are she will be back and he will accept her with open arms. I am not saying he shouldn't support his kids, mentally, amotionally, and financially but he don't have to live in the same house as the ex...hell hes ot enough money to fight for those kids to live with him and hire a live in nanny

Professional Athletes are gold mines. Instant gratfication has lasting consequences. Take care of your children it takes two parents and remember that the next time you see a pretty face. Too many men leave birth control to the woman and we're smarter than you. In the Garden Of Eden Eve said you want some and Adam said yes and here we all are in this Satan filled world. Respect her and yourself. If your differences are petty work on them, if they're big leave her alone. Too much drama isn't good for anyone.

It sounds to me like a match made in Ghetto heaven, A Chickenhead meets a Big Baller, and spits out some crumb snatchers, and now they livin large and in charge, the Gramma is probably very young, but old enough to be hired as a live in babysitter to ensure that the cycle continues, So they can go and enjoy the Bling Bling, and the Phat life until it explodes in their face, unless they growup first.... "NOT"

Gilbert, you and your lady are very spicial. Your kids know that or will come to feel how spicial your, your family is. Be strong my man and keep your family togather. Do not let other people come between you and your family. Work it out and stay togather.
