MIAMI (Dec. 3) - Thousands filled a university arena for Sean Taylor's funeral Monday, with his coach praising his "excitement for life" and the NFL commissioner telling mourners the Washington Redskins star "loved football and football loved him back."
The funeral comes a week after Taylor was shot in his home and days after four men were charged with killing him during the robbery. A lawyer for one of the suspects confirmed there was a fifth suspect.
Taylor's casket was surrounded by bouquets while a video display behind it showed Taylor from his days with the Redskins, Miami Hurricanes and high school.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said it had been a "sad week" for the league family.

I really think that this violence has to stop. This was a senseless death that will and have affected a lot of lives. Mr.Taylor lost his life for what a few dollars and the people that did this, their lives are also over. There is no winner to this only losers. I would like to offer my sympathy to the Taylor family for their lose. May God Bless and Keep you in His arms.

How could you even say something like that A. Sharpton. Regardless of what someone did in the past, that is another life lost. What if it was someone you knew, would you be sayin the same thing, even though they had made mistakes in their past. That is exactly why the world is like it is today, man can never forgive anyone for making mistakes. BUT GOD DOES.

Obviously, A Lot Of People Care! A Human Life Has Been Lost. A Mother & Father Have Lost Thier Son. Life Certainly Will, "Move On". Let Us Take This Brief Pause. Let Us Show Our Respects For This Slain Young Man And His Friends & Family. The Old Saying: "Do Unto Others As You Would Have Them Do Unto You", Still Applies Today. This is really a tragedy for the whole black community, its like you can leave the hood, but the hood will find you. Whats wrong with us, we need to wake up from our sleep, and we need a leader to guide us in the right direction. Martin Luther King Jr. didn't die for this, have we forgotten the real hardships we faced, this is NOTHING compared to 400 years of slavery and another hundred years of hangings,segregation,beatings,discrimination,e.t.c. Its time like this where we need Bill Cosby, Louis Farrakhan, to take initiative and can stop the violence in our community.

whats wrong is that we have people like A Sharpton and Mike Smith up there whose mentality is like an infestation of diseases. Just comes to show that black people not only will tear you down in life, but also in death. Short of rape, murder or molestation, I dont think anyone deserves to die for whatever wrong doings. Those two people need to think about that if they are ever facing the barrel of a gun!
