With all the heat on Roger Clemens testifying in front of Congress, do you know who should've been feeling good? Barry Bonds.
For once he wasn't baseball's Public Enemy No. 1.
Alas, nothing lasts for ever, as United States prosecutors now say Bonds failed a drug test and tested positive for "anabolic steroids and other performance-enhancing substances" in November 2000, less than a year before he broke baseball's season home run record.
I'm no legal expert, shocking I know, but I'm sure that can't be good news for Bonds and his lawyers.
"At trial, the government's evidence will show that Bonds received steroids from (Bonds' trainer Greg) Anderson in the period before the November 2001 (actually 2000) positive drug test," U.S. Attorney Joseph P. Russoniello wrote, "and that evidence raises the inference that Anderson gave Bonds the steroids that caused him to test positive in November 2001 (2000)."
The idea that this evidence proves Bonds took steroids isn't as big as the concept that this evidence proves that Bonds lied to a grand jury, denying he took steroids.
Uncle Sam may tolerate 'roiders to an extent, but he just can't accept lying. (Ask Marion Jones.)
I wonder if Bonds will go with the classic black and white prison jumpsuit or the trendy orange?

I enjoy sports very much. I love basketball, track and occassionaly will watch Football. But truly I could care less who is taking STERIODS. I just feel that there are more pressing issues to deal with in our society. Things like PROPER EDUCATION FOR ALL AMERICANS, LOWER TAXES, BETTER & PROPER HOUSING, ENDING GANG ISSUES, BETTER NEIGHBORHOODS FALL ALL AMERICANS, AFFORDABLE HEALTH INSURANCE FOR ALL AMERICANS ESPECIALLY TAX PAYERS, PAY RAISES, NOT TO MENTION THE WAR THAT WILL NEVER SEEM TO END. These are just a few issues that we truly shold be paying attention too.
They need to just make a law that says refuses all use of steriods. But enough with this mass amount of coverage like this is a life and death situation for Americans.

Hello Obama supporters,
I started a new webpage to help promote Senator Obama in his presidential campaign.
The address to the page is:
http://www.ObamaLeadership.blogspot.com
A purpose of the site is to gather support for Barack Obama by publishing the many reasons why he should be the next president.
Please forward this website address to organizations in your areas of influence. Hopefully, many people will post to the site and show that the American people desire change.
Thank you for your help and support,

Congress should find out what happened to the money that disappeared in Iraq and leave the sports figures alone.

OK...this says that the govt has proof that Anderson gave him the drug, but where is the proof that Bonds asked for the drug and therefore was aware of it being administered?
