Randy Moss got hooked up by signing a three-year deal to stay with the New England Patriots for a cool $27 million earlier this week. Now it's looking like some endorsements may be coming down the pike as well. According to CNBC's Darren Rovell, Pony is close to bringing on Randy Moss as a lead endorser to resurrect the company. Pony hasn't really been hot since the 70's when Pele', Muhammad Ali and Reggie Jackson were sporting the gear.
In the last eight years Pony has signed folks like Chris Mihm, James Toney, Pete Rose and Ricky Davis to endorse the brand, but none of them have had the reach to compete with the likes of Nike, adidas or Reebok. It's looking like Pony is hoping Moss will get them over that hump. According to Rovell, Moss was one of the first Nike Jordan Brand endorsers but that deal ended a couple of years ago. In the 2005 and 2006 seasons Moss covered up his shoe logos with tape, but during last season's AFC Championship he wore Reebok and during the Super Bowl he wore Nike. Were they just one game endorsement deals? Regardless, we may see Moss rockin' Pony shoes and jogging suits next year.

Pony desreves to have a top notched athlete support its fine line of apparel. I miss the Pony line up and can't wait to begin supporting them again...Way to go Randy

ERRRRRRRR! That's the sound of tires screaching to stop Pony from making a huge mistake. Did you not forget that Randy has a restraining order against him? How does the picture of Randy slapping a woman sound as an ad? I can't speak to the events leading to this woman asking the police for protection, but there must be some truth to the request. Put this woman in a Rutger's Pink outfit with a wig and Randy Moss standing over her with a black eye. You'll never sell shoes again. Don't make a hero out of someone who may be laughing at us all? Randy doesn't need the money. He just got 27 million and he could act a fool again? Pony can do what they want, but don't cry victim if something comes up. It's Randy Moss and it's only my opinion.

Jealous of Randy Moss? I love the man for his talent, but talent isn't everything. He was a man playing amoung boys with his "freakish" talent throughout college. He is one of the greatest receivers to ever play the game. Is he above the law? Should charges be made against him and those charges be ignored like R. Kelly? Randy is not above or below justice. If the charges against him are false, then Pony has every right to do as they please. What do we know about Randy? He did inhale, he hit a police officer, he mooned Green Bay, and he takes off certain plays. His greatest achievement is he plays for a team with a reputation of cheating. Why should I be jealous? I just want to be fair to the justice system. Maybe I've been slapped one too many times to ignore the screams of a woman?

He didn't hit the police officer, he sightly bumped a parking control officer, who tried to stop him from making a legal right turn on a red light because she saw it was him and wanted to make a big deal out of it by jumping in front of his car at the last minute. She is lucky he was paying attention didn't run her azz over.

p.s., I dont like the brother but respect his talents. But the traffice enforcement officer was wrong and I couldn't believe the big deal that was made out of that incident.
