Since Jay-Z's New Jersey (soon to be Brooklyn) Nets missed the playoffs, the rapper has most likely been watching his boy LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers' series against the Washington Wizards. And for anyone who has been watching the series knows about the trash talking going back and forth. It started with Wizards guard DeShawn Stevenson calling LeBron overrated and then LeBron saying for him to respond to that is like Jay-Z responding to a Soulja Boy diss.
To shove it in LeBron's face, Stevenson invited Soulja Boy to Game 3, where he sat courtside and watched the Wizards take care of business. But after the Cavs defeated the Wiz yesterday to take a 3-1 series lead, a Jay-Z freestyle over Too Short's "Blow The Whistle" instrumental surfaced that refers to the LeBron-DeShawn beef and without mentioning Stevenson by name, Jigga tells dude to back off and know his place.
What hurts even more is that, according to the Washington Post, the diss song was played at a D.C. night club called Love, yes, a club in the Wizards' hometown. Cavs guard Damon Jones was also at the club, grabbed the mic and joined in the dissing. But just like Jigga Man himself, Stevenson is brushing the song off his shoulder.
"He says he has a lot of swag, but I don't think that's something to do," Stevenson told the Washington Post about James. "This is basketball. I'm not worried about the song. I'm not worried about what he did. But for Damon Jones to get on the mic. And I heard he was saying foul stuff about me and stuff like that, they're taking it beyond basketball to me. Everybody is saying the bad things that I'm saying nationally, but they don't understand why I'm mad. That stuff doesn't come out. I'd rather be the bad guy. People think I'm going at him, but they don't see the little stabs that he's doing.
"When I had Soulja Boy here, it was on the court," Stevenson continued. "It was nothing disrespecting him or his family or even foul language. Jay-Z is a legend. He'll go down in history. No disrespect to Jay-Z. I take it as a compliment. I like his music. I like everything he does. I would never go at a legend."

Jay Z should feel dumb for this. He needs to geta life with his old self, and go stick up Beyonces butt as usual. I though it was a cheap shot, and disrespectful. If these we regular men on the street Jay-Z may have had to deal with some drama. All of the are rich and really have nothing else to do. If he wants to speak out speak out on real issues. Like Sean Bell something else. Black people have too many real issues besides this. GET A LIFE!!!!!

...For the love of all that is good and decent! Lebron is a basketball player, Jay-Z is a rapper...NO, they are not political leaders, they are not community activists! why would any one in their right mind give any kind of credence to any thing they have to say or to any thing they do out side of their perspective genres? Not to take any thing away from either men, Lebron is the Next Generation Prototype Basketball Player and Jay-Z is one of the top 3 lyricist of all time...but that doesn't mean WE ( society ) have to hang on their word, grow up people!
