Michael Vick gets out of prison in July 2009 which is around the same time the United Football League will begin their inaugural season. The league will run from August to November and directly compete with the NFL. Although there are only six teams, L.A., San Francisco, Las Vegas, Orlando, New York, and Hartford, Mavericks owner, Mark Cuban will own one of the teams, and league commissioner Michael Huyghue said that they are "98 percent" sure that Vick will play in the UFL for their first season.
"Michael's not going to be able to walk right back into the NFL,'' Huyghue told Sports Illustrated's Peter King. "He's going to need some kind of buffer before he signs in the NFL, and we'll be able to provide that for him.''
Vick will most likely be suspended by the NFL for the 2009 season and according to King, he will also be ineligible for the Canadian Football League, which doesn't leave too many options to play football. The UFL will have a $20 million salary cap per team, with quarterbacks speculated to make between $1 million and $4 million. Even the coaches will make close to $1 million a season, so the league could get some quality players and coaches who couldn't makes moves in the NFL or sit at the bottom of team rosters. So is this something you would watch?

MIKE VICK IS A VERY TALENTED ATHELETE AND ANY TIME YOU HAVE SUCH TALENT AS HIS AROUND, YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE SOMEONE WITH MONEY WHO WANTS TO MAKE MORE MONEY BY USING HIM. AND THAT'S WHAT THIS IS. MR. CUBAN OR WHOEVER OWNS THE TEAMS SEES SOME MONEY TO BE MADE AND UNFORTUNATELY MR. VICK HAS PUT HIMSELF IN YET ANOTHER SITUATION TO BE MISUSED BY THESE SPORTS MOGULS TO BE MISUSED. VERY SAD HOW PEOPLE WITH MONEY TAKE EVERY ADVANTAGE THEY SNIFF OUT TO MISUSE AND ABUSE THOSE WITH TALENT BUT NO GOOD JUDGEMENT. ALL I SEE IS ANOTHER FORM OF MODERN DAY SLAVERY IN THIS SO-CALLED DEMOCRACY WE LIVE AND FALSELY PREACH!

If Michael Vick is playing that would be enough for me to watch, but I hope the UFL is better than ARENA football because that s#it stunk.

Michael Huyghue is a black commisioner. To date there has never been a black commissioner of the NFL. The NFL did not support Michael. If anyone used Michael, it was the NFL. They used him and then dropped him. Whether Michael Vick plays with the United Football or not, I wish the league the best. I hope others will support Michael Huyghue, who is the black commissional of the United Football League. If you will go to a website and look up michael Hugyhue you will discover he is more than qualified. At one time he was an admiistrator with the NFL.

I am an extreme animal lover but even I think this man deserves another chance. People need to realize that we all come from different backgrounds and if you grow up seeing something is acceptable then that is what you know. Why not use this as an opportunity to educate people. If everybody continues to attack him we can expect dog fighting to stay undercover because of the fear of being labeled an outcast instead of trying to educate and rehabilitate.

The situation is still FUUU*KED up! Now he has to be reduced to the UFL, cause the NFL f@$ed him and got what they needed/wanted? Saving face with animal rights activist? B.S. If I was Vick I'd tell them all to Go-to-hell. We all know, and I will say it again, if he was white, he wouldn't be in this situation. Better yet, if he was a white man with missing and dead wives he'd be at home chillin (Drew Peterson)! It's all good, those racist at the top will get what they deserve! Pay Back is a Bi-otch!
