Even though both Venus and Serena Williams were ousted of their singles quest for a medal, together they're still unstoppable. Over the weekend the sisters faced Anabel Medina Garrigues and Virginia Ruano Pascual of Spain and destroyed them handily 6-2, 6-0."I'm so excited, I can't even speak," Venus told the Associated Press. "To share this kind of moment with your sister, it never grows old."
Venus and Serena also won the gold medal together in Sydney, Australia for the 2000 Summer Olympics. They didn't compete together in Greece for the 2004 Olympics because Serena was nursing a knee injury. This Gold medal follows their doubles Wimbledon title earlier this year.
"I don't know anyone out there who would get tired of playing with Venus Williams," Serena told AP. "We were really focused from the first point. We really wanted to win. We feel like we've contributed to our country in a huge way. That's really what it's all about."
Spain went home with the silver medal and China won the bronze medal.
