Looks like Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson will be able to use that "Ocho Cinco" jersey after all. Late last week, Johnson legally changed his name to Chad Javon Ocho Cinco in Broward County, Florida. Will his jersey now be the hottest selling jersey at NFL shops this season?
"It's something I don't think anyone has ever done before," he told the team's Web site. "Have I ever had a reason for why I do what I do? I'm having fun."
The words – Ocho Cinco – mean "eight, five", in Spanish, a reference to his jersey number of 85. Johnson started called himself Ocho Cinco two years ago when he put a patch on his jersey before a game for the cameras. Quarterback Carson Palmer ripped the patch off before the start of the game and at the end of the season, head coach Marvin Lewis referred to Johnson as "Ocho Psycho". After this stunt, NFL fans will probably agree with him.

Ocho Cinco is a better name for a fool.
He is blacker than black, "Chad Johnson" sounds to proper, I don't like it either.
He can always change it later to something like, Kareem Abdul Jabbar or Muhammad Ali maybe even Chaka Zulu, something with more substance.

This is why I refuse to watch the N.F.L. It's strictly entertainment! You don't even have real talent displayed in sports today, exemplified by this culture-less mongrel's disrespect for his on namesake! He,any many of the media made athletes are not worth one second of the Black populist attention!Dare call a boycott or rally for the Black oppressed,or any situation like police brutality...The are bought and sold already by their N.F.L. and media Godfathers! They are sellouts and betrayers of their own struggle! The 'Ali' mode of protest has been effectively squashed for MONEY!A nd the Black community reacts to sports like 'heroin junkies',who are afraid to hold these punk-jocks to any standard of cultural respect!None of them are worth the time watching or the money their inflated ego is sold for!

I'd even wager he has 'Chinese symbols' tattooed all over his black a**,and can't verify a word of it!How low will the Black athlete stoop, and how long will the conscience Black tolerate the dissing for dollars!

Chad is one of those guys who does take things to far. But I will I admit that I laughed out loud when I read this.
I'm not sure if he's thinking about his future though. I mean, he is changing the name of his lineage if he plans to have kids. I guess it won't matter since he's rich, it should be hard to find a woman that's willing to be Mrs. Eight Five.

Well being blacker than black does not exclude an individual of being of hispanic, cuban, latin, or spanish heritage. They are just like Black people; they range from the lightest to the darkest of the skin complexion "rainbow".
However if many people are going to be up in arms(so to speak) about Beyonce jealous she was not Latina, many should call Chad out as well.
Then again, knowing Chad's personality and ego he probably is enjoying this type of discussion and wants people to just keep his "name" in their mouths.
He is a fool, and he knows it.

It's just FOOTBALL people!! Why is there a problem when the players wnat to bring more excitment to the sprot?
Imagine if the game never evolved at all, the games would be boring as hell! Do take note that football's popularity only increases as more players contiue to entertain the public by expressing themselves.
GO BIG BLUE!! ALL The Way!!
