Back in the day, not too many athletes really shared their political views, thinking it would hurt sales of shoes or they would lose some of their fanbase. Nowadays, athletes aren't afraid to share their thoughts on the issues of today, ranging from the crisis in Darfur to the effects of Hurricane Katrina, they'll let it be known. They're even endorsing presidential candidates. LeBron threw money behind Barack Obama's campaign and now Baron Davis is announcing he has Barack's back as well.
"Hope ya'll watched Barack Obama's acceptance speech Thursday night. If he didn't move you maybe the sound was turned down. When it was over I felt like I was ready to go out to Venice Beach and start registering people to vote right then at 9pm. We've got to show up on Nov. 4th to vote this man into the White House!" Davis wrote on his blog. "His ideas about recharging our education system by investing in early education and raising teacher's salaries were seriously inspiring. I know he said he's gonna raise the taxes on the top income bracket, Gil (responding to a recent Gilbert Arenas post), but if he uses that money to improve our schools then you won't have to worry about some kids trying to sell pictures of your pool online cause they couldn't get a better job. But seriously, he made his case calm and cool and now it's up to us to listen and to act. He's not going to be able to do it on his own. We have to get out and vote on November 4th."
Davis also expressed how he's been trying to steer kids out of poverty and violence-filled lives through his organization TeamPlay and that the policies that Obama is proposing will help make his goal with kids easier.

THE MORE TIME AND TALK THAT'S SPENT ON SARAH PALIN THE MORE OBAMA/BIDEN LOOK LIKE THEY'RE DAZED AND CONFUSED! IT IS REPORTED ON HUFFINGTON POST AND ADN.COM THAT SARAH PALIN WATCHED THE PRIMARIES BETWEEN BARACK AND HILLARY AND ONCE BARACK BEAT HILLARY SARAH PALIN'S COMMENTS WERE, AND I QUOTE "SAMBO BEAT THE BITCH." PALIN WAS HEARD BY MANY IN A POPULAR RESTAURANT TO SAY THESE HORRIBLE THINGS ABOUT BARACK AND HILLARY (AND ABOUT MANY OTHERS I'M SURE).COME ON PEOPLE, WE'VE GOT TO ROCK THE VOTE AND NOT HAVE CLOSET RACISTS IN THE WHITE HOUSE! I'VE HEARD WITH MY OWN TWO EARS JOHN MCCAIN AND SARAH PALIN LIE ON TELEVISION ABOUT BARACK OBAMA AND ALSO ABOUT THEIR RESPECTIVEACCOMPLISHMENTS(I USE THE WORD ACCOMPLISHMENT LOOSELY. PLEASE BE INFORMED ABOUT WHO WILL BE RUNNING OUR COUNTRY, NOT THEIR COUNTRY, BUT OUR COUNTRY. JOHN MCCAIN IS A WASHED UP OLD WANNABE WHO'S CHASING HIS FIELD OF DREAMS AND REALLY NEEDS TO BE IN AN ASSISTED LIVING CENTER SHARING A ROOM WITH HIS MOTHER THAT LOOKS LIKE THEY COULD BE SISTER AND BROTHER (DAMN, THAT WHITE HAIR IS A MO-FO...LOL GOTTA HAVE SOME HUMOR IN THIS PATHETIC SPECTACLE OF A REPUBLICAN PARTY). ROCK THE VOTE EVERYONE! TALK TO YOUR NEIGHBORS, CHILDREN (THAT ARE OF AGE TO VOTE),ANYONE AND EVERYONE! THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT...I LOVE ALL OF MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS, RED, YELLOW,BLACK AND WHITE.

BDizzle is the man!
Everybody in the Bay still love him, and we understand his decision to play in his hometown.
His and Agent O's support has not gone unnotices, and their stature in the hood will only grow because of their principled support of a movement that is about more than sponsors and endorsements.
I feel a change comin'
