Rumors are swirling around that Kobe may have a lucrative offer coming his way from a European basketball team after this season. The team is Greek club Olympiacos who recently signed Josh Childress to a pretty good deal. The offer is rumored to be $60 million for three years. But along with that salary comes a villa on the Mediterranean Sea, a private yacht, and the team paying all the taxes on the salary.
But would Kobe really head overseas? Our friends at TrueHoop broke it down on why Kobe would most likely stay in L.A. after his contract is up at the end of the season. First off, the Lakers can offer him a max contract deal worth $150 million for six years. Second, L.A. loves him and he loves L.A. Thirdly, the owners were finally coming to their senses last season in trying to build a team that can get to the NBA Finals. Yes, you know Kobe wants that ring without Shaq, and he can't do that in Europe. Plus in a couple of years with the way Kobe's been playing, his name will be next to all types of records.
Now before last season, when Kobe Bean was talking all loud about being okay with trade talk including him and being upset about how the team was being run, there could have been a chance that Kobe would have jumped over the pond. But at this point, with the Lake Show coming so close to another ring last season, it doesn't look like the Kobester is going anywhere anytime soon.

I wish you idiots would give that rape case a rest!! thats all you idiots talk about, you have no idea the kind of basketball player he is so you just blurt out the first thing that comes to mind when you see kobe's name. Next to M.J, Kobe is the greatest 2 guard to ever play the game. i would have an heart attack if he left the lakers now, and forget shaq, his career is over!!!!! give it a rest lol. stop hatin on kobe and get you alls live's together. haters lol. Reality check, If Kobe wasnt the star that he is today, you wouldnt even be talkin about him, so that tells you sumthin:) peace.

First of all it's only a game. And negative opinions about Kobe and his past are really unnecessary. I think Kobe has come a long way. I really don't see him going anywhere. But remember it's a job!! I really don't care what you think of Kobe; but one thing is for sure He's Good!! So if your a good sports fan stop the hating. Let the media do that stuff. He has come a long way and now a family man who only wants to win and bring another championship banner back to LA. To see the compassion on his face and the desire in his heart is all that's needed.
