Could Kobe Go to Europe?

Rumors are swirling around that Kobe may have a lucrative offer coming his way from a European basketball team after this season. The team is Greek club Olympiacos who recently signed Josh Childress to a pretty good deal. The offer is rumored to be $60 million for three years. But along with that salary comes a villa on the Mediterranean Sea, a private yacht, and the team paying all the taxes on the salary.

But would Kobe really head overseas? Our friends at TrueHoop broke it down on why Kobe would most likely stay in L.A. after his contract is up at the end of the season. First off, the Lakers can offer him a max contract deal worth $150 million for six years. Second, L.A. loves him and he loves L.A. Thirdly, the owners were finally coming to their senses last season in trying to build a team that can get to the NBA Finals. Yes, you know Kobe wants that ring without Shaq, and he can't do that in Europe. Plus in a couple of years with the way Kobe's been playing, his name will be next to all types of records.

Now before last season, when Kobe Bean was talking all loud about being okay with trade talk including him and being upset about how the team was being run, there could have been a chance that Kobe would have jumped over the pond. But at this point, with the Lake Show coming so close to another ring last season, it doesn't look like the Kobester is going anywhere anytime soon.
