Cowboys' Roy Williams Fights Hunger with Pizza, Challenges Other NFL Players

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Roy Williams has only been in town a week after being traded by the Detroit Lions, and he's already making challenges. Williams announced that he's partnered with Pizza Hut and Yum! Brands to fight hunger around the world. And he's challenging other NFL players to join him in the fight.

"Every six seconds a child dies from hunger somewhere in the world," Williams said. "Hearing this fact inspired me to get involved and do something. I'm proud to be a part of the 'Hunger to Hope' program and I want to do everything I can to help end hunger. Each of us can make a difference and together we can really make a change. That's why I'm challenging three other players to put on a uniform in a Pizza Hut restaurant for just one day to collect donations and see who can collect the most. We're all competitive guys, so this should get interesting."

The players that Williams has challenged are Mark Clayton of the Baltimore Ravens, Davin Joseph of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Chris Spencer of the Seattle Seahawks. The challenge will go down on October 21 in the players' respective cities. The player whose city raises the most money will win a Pizza Hut party for their team. Last year, Williams raised $10,000 by himself by delivering pizzas in and around Detroit.
