Looks like 600 home runs not only gives you props, but also scores you endorsement deals. Integrated Beverage Group (IBG announced that they have made Chicago White Sox center fielder Ken Griffey, Jr. the face of their product, Power Ice, for the next three years. Power Ice is a frozen snack for kids that hydrates while quenching their thirst and replacing electrolytes."It's an honor for us to have Ken Griffey, Jr. as the spokesman for Power Ice," said Jason Santiago, Chief Marketing Officer of Integrated Beverage Group (IBG). "Ken is one of sports living legends and we feel privileged to have him associate himself with Power Ice and IBG."
Griffey, Jr. just filmed a 30-second spot for the product that should be hitting airwaves soon.
In other Griffey, Jr. news, the baller has been named the latest Public Diplomacy Envoy. Condoleeza Rice will officially name him this week and will join skater Michelle Kwan, baseball hall of famer Cal Ripken, Jr., and actress Fran Dresher who were previously named Public Diplomacy Envoy. The Envoys travel the world hoping to better the image of the United States.

Ken is a class act and always has been. This promotion goes hand in hand with his being named to the Public Diplomacy Envoy and is very astute of the Power Ice management to bring him on board. You wont be sorry, he ROCKS in every sense of the word!! Congrats on everything Ken, much love from Seattle!!

Griffey, is a true legend. The best player of his time, only injuries have stopped him from breaking most of the elite baseball records. With two more productive seasons he put up numbers that will make everyone think what if he was not injured. Great selection to promote this product to the young.
