According to the Associated Press, a George County High School football star in Jackson, Mississippi named Billey Joe Johnson shot himself with a shotgun after he was pulled over by a police officer. According to the report, the officer pulled him over, took his license and while he was back in his patrol car for a license check, Johnson killed himself."The deputy was sitting in his patrol vehicle ... when he heard a gunshot and saw the victim laying on the ground by the driver's side door of the vehicle that Johnson was driving. A shotgun was lying on the victim," according to a statement from the George County Sheriff's Department.
The authorities are not sure if the shooting was an accident or suicide but Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is looking at the cause of death. According to the Associated Press, Johnson rushed for more than 4,000 yards in his high school career. Plus he had scholarship offers from universities including Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, LSU, Mississippi, Mississippi State and Oregon.
"We're just in shock," George County High assistant coach Darwin Nelson said. "To say that he had a world of potential would be one of the biggest understatements of the century. I just can't explain this."
Of course, friends and family are in disbelief by the shooting which brings up the question about the incident report. With police officers sometimes taking matters in their own hands lately, some folks on the outside think this death is a bit fishy. How about you?

I am so sick of hearing about cop killing our youth. I have a son and i fear for his life because its all ways a killing when a cop pulls a black guy. They need to fire them asap. These cops are worst then gangs because they have legal guns. You have to teach your kids what and what not to do if they stop you. This boy did not kill his self. I hope the fa,ily don't sleep on this one.It won't bring him back but it might save another.

This is a bunch of mess. Can you imagine how difficult it would be to shoot yourself with a shotgun in a car? Let's be real people ever since Obama was elected president we have seen a surge of racist incidents around the country. I beleive this is another one. I work for the Department of Corrections and this case should be fully investigated by the FBI. Let's not turn the page on another black teenager dying and in this instance, I beleive by the hands of an officer.

Why would the cop shoot this young man ya think. I really can't see into that. Why would the young man shoot himself is another question....what went on at this scene. This is such a sad story with no answers. I hope something comes out to prove what really happened here!! I could imagine how the young man's family must feel,... and if this really is true what the cop said then he must be blown away himself. Also why is this young brother's name Billey Joe...wow!!!!

All right number seven and OJ and Mississippi this is not funny. But sense you wanna go there, black folks don't know no more than white folks about OJ, he hasn't been to a black meeting like we are having in how many years, plus, don’t forget it was a strange white man that lived in the house from God knows where he came from he seems not to be a object of desire because he just needed a place to live, this is some bull shit to me, now the girl is dead, only thing OJ could be held accountable for is not protecting his wife, hell white people join the club us black women been complaining about that behavior for years that’s the only thing I find OJ accountable for. Its all assumption, it was also a conflict of interest putting OJ in front of a white judge, and a female on top of that knowing how all of them feel about him, the funny thing is with OJ no matter if he was found not guilty he was still guilty and they charged him on that, I wonder will he sue, or take it to a higher court. I would if I was OJ, going to prison for taking his own stuff that was taken from him. This is some bull shit modern day slavery, I believe, and control. How many white folks got off crimes of killing blacks and did not get harassed for it when found not guilty, black folks its time to rally, I hear the KKK has started getting more people in the clan here lately, its time to rally, march do something or the next person could be one of you. Your not getting this big picture here, but I am.
