Now that the judge in Bonds federal perjury case has basically thrown out a bunch of vital evidence the prosecution intended to use and the trial has been delayed until sometime this summer, Bonds has given his agent permission to shop him to all Major League Baseball teams.Due to the fact that Barry's trial has been delayed an indefinite period of time," Bonds' agent Jeff Borris told USA Today. "I will be making the rounds this week to see if there's any interest in Barry playing for the 2009 season."
Bonds wanted to play last season but no team would sign him. Borris believes that Bonds is being blackballed by the league due to the steroid use accusations. And he's not very optimistic that Bonds, 44, will be playing this year either.
"I'm not optimistic," Borris said. "Major League Baseball was successful in conspiring in keeping Barry out of uniform in 2008. Unless they have a change of heart, or see an error in their ways, I seriously doubt that clubs will give him the opportunity to play this year."
Does Barry have a chance to play in the 2009 season? If so, what team would take him?

Yes, it was a conspiracy to charge Bonds immediately after he became a free agent so no team would hire him.

MLB and the Media should be ashamed. As the days go by, more and more players are being caught with using steroids, i.e. A-rod, Tejada. Yet, these players continue to play while Bonds sits. Ashame, Hopefully,Bonds sues MLB for collusion.

Once again the rules of the game change for the African-American man. First of all, Barry Bonds has not been convicted of any crime! What the MLB and the owners are doing is based on accusations that the Feds cannot prove, so why is he not being signed? If this was Mark Mcguire or some of the other white players the first thing that would be said was, "In this country every man is presumed innocent until proven guilty". Why is it always different for the athletes of color? This comes down to jealousy and racism. They have destroyed this man's career, reputation and his life. I would love to seem Mr. Bonds hold the powers that be at the MLB accountable for this shameful example of defamation and slander against him! Our country's foundation is built upon certain principles and this is a clear violation of one of those principles. It is clear by the court's decision to throw most of the case against Barry Bonds out that this case never should have went to trial because it is almost impossible to prove the Feds allegations. I agree...THIS IS SO SHAMEFUL!

In my opinion, Barry is innocent. Nobody has been able to prove that he actually used steroids, even though some would use the fact that he looks more buff than he did in his Pittsburgh and eary SF days.
Bottom line, Barry shouldn't be blackballed and he should still play. I'd rather Barry have the all time HR record than GAY-ROD!
