Filming for the new season of Spike TV's Pros vs. Joes began this week along with the announcement of the athletes participating. In the past, the show featured mostly retired or recently retired athletes with very few active players, but since no has ponied up for Adam 'Pacman' Jones services since he was released from the Cowboys, he signed up for the show.

Jones will join former NFLers Tim Brown, Simeon Rice, Priest Holmes, Steve McNair, Rich Gannon while the NBA will be represented by Alonzo Mourning, Robert Horry, Glen Rice, Antoine Walker, Shawn Kemp and Steve Francis. The show will be hosted by Michael Strahan and Jay Glazer.

According to the press release, this season there will be only one sport played in each episode instead of a variety of sports as in previous seasons. Each episode features three skills competitions and a three-on-three scrimmage pitting the Pros against the Joes. The sports this season will be football (4 episodes) and basketball (4 episodes). Look for the season premiere on April 27.
