There's no doubt that L.A. Sparks' Candace Parker is a star on the basketball court, but she's quickly becoming a star off the court as well. The 6-foot-4-inch baller was just married last November, is expecting her first child, and is now being recognized as a positive representation of young motherhood. She appears on the cover of the latest issue of ESPN magazine, baby bump and all.
In the cover story, she discusses love, family and basketball and how she's able to handle it all while having a successful career. While glowing in its portrayal of her, the article has raised a few eyebrows by mentioning her C-cup bra size in the first paragraph, an inclusion the magazine's editor-in-chief Gary Belsky defended by saying "It's not the worst thing in the world in a men's magazine to talk about things like that."

While, Candace is a pretty woman...and her femininity shows in the video...At the same time, I will admit that cover shot looks like, a FEMALE-Pregnant MAN.

FINALLY!!!! A Mainstream, Positive, Beautiful Image of a Black Woman!! She looks absolutely Gorgeous! I Thank GOD she is also a Positive Role Model of Holiness and Obedience. Getting Married and having a Husband to Grace the entrance of her Child into the World! Remember, Marriage was ordered by GOD the Creator of all things both Heaven and Earth!! While I too love Candace, I think that she is beautiful and all, (her baby's daddy, now husband is another story)...I wish her the best and her success is to be commended. UNFORTUNATELY, I have to point a slight defect in her "positive role model status". SHE GOT PREGNANT PRIOR TO MARRIAGE. The baby is due in the spring, do the math. I hope the marriage lasts and is not one solely based on her getting pregnant. Having said that, WE ARE OUR CHILDREN'S ROLE MODELS!
