It's been happening since the days of leather helmets and two shoulder pads. But apparently, Super Bowl MVP, James Harrison of the Pittsburgh Steelers isn't down with it, and even appears to be offended by the invitation to meet Obama."If you want to see the Pittsburgh Steelers, invite us when we don't win the Super Bowl," he told Pittsburgh's WTAE-TV. "So as far as I'm concerned he would have invited Arizona if they had won. I don't feel the need to actually go. I don't feel like it's that big a deal to me."
Huh?
For consistency purposes, Harrison also turned the invitation to meet President Bush when the Steelers won the Super Bowl in 2006. Check out the video interview. ...

A perfect example of ignorance disguised as a professional ball player. Its the kind of idiocy that's often times associated with those who have not had the good fortune of being introduced to higher education, country-club status, or even indoor plumbing.
If he was so destined to hold his position as an outsider or defiant one, he could have done so while simultaneously keeping his mouth closed to the media at large - instead of practically waving his "the-year-1800-down-south" mentally like a flag of honor.
This character doesn't seem to realize how bowing out gracefully would have given him just a tad bit of possible respect, given the fact that we as a people have done what we believed was impossible to achieve - to put a man of great integrity, who happens to be black, into office as President of the United States.
Don't be surprised if the next time you see Mr. Harrison, he'll be completely immersed by his own stupidity, shuffling about and extremely bugged-eyed - just lightly pat him on the back while he's slightly crouched over and say a little prayer for him.

I'm proud of James Harrison for speaking his mind & not attending the White House visit with Obama. It turns out six months after the fact that he was the only intelligent one on the team. Look what Obama has done to destroy our great country. Why would you want to be "honored" by someone like that? Although he did also turn down an invitation from Pres. Bush, so maybe he really just doesn't think it's a big deal, as he says.
