It's pretty much a tradition for a championship team to take a trip to the White House and meet the president for a personal congratulation. It's been happening since the days of leather helmets and two shoulder pads. But apparently, Super Bowl MVP, James Harrison of the Pittsburgh Steelers isn't down with it, and even appears to be offended by the invitation to meet Obama."If you want to see the Pittsburgh Steelers, invite us when we don't win the Super Bowl," he told Pittsburgh's WTAE-TV. "So as far as I'm concerned he would have invited Arizona if they had won. I don't feel the need to actually go. I don't feel like it's that big a deal to me."
Huh?
For consistency purposes, Harrison also turned the invitation to meet President Bush when the Steelers won the Super Bowl in 2006. Check out the video interview. ...

I wonder what his son thinks of him missing a visit to the White House. I'm sure "dad" has never taken him to Washington to visit this historic landmark.
