While Pittsburgh Steeler James Harrison is snubbing President Obama, Washington Wizards' Brendan Haywood has his back. Obama spoke at the commencement for Arizona State University last week but his appearance had a bit controversy since the school decided not to give him an honorary degree citing his "body of work is yet to come." Most speakers and graduations are given honorary degrees (Obama got one from Notre Dame a few days later), but not this time and it rubbed Haywood the wrong way."Let me get this straight, Obama graduated from Columbia and Harvard Law School, was Senator of Illinois and became the first Black President of the United States but isn't good enough to get an 'honorary degree' from Arizona State?" Haywood wrote on his blog. "What else does he have to do, turn water into wine? Someone needs to step up and take responsibility for the real reason why Obama was denied the degree. Maybe it was because Arizona is John McCain's state or because McCain has donated a lot of money to the school or even because it's a Republican state. Whatever the real reason is, don't lie and tell us that it because Obama isn't good enough. That's like saying LeBron James isn't good enough to play on your REC league team or that Yao Ming isn't tall enough to play on your squad!"
Check out the rest of Haywood's rant at his blog.

I'm with you Brendan, What more can he do.I know you did'nt want to say it being in the public eye but I will." I hope the color of his skin had nothing to do with it." I doubt it but I know their reasoning could'nt have really been that his body of work has'nt come yet.
