Comments (50)

Former heavyweight champ Mike Tyson is mourning the loss of his 4-year-old daughter, Exodus, after a tragic accident in their Phoenix home on Monday. According to police reports, Exodus was playing on the family's treadmill when she apparently slipped or put her head in the loop of a cord hanging from the machine's console. Her 7-year-old brother found her and told their mother, who called 911 and tried to revive the girl.

Exodus was taken to the hospital and listed in critical condition. Tyson was in Las Vegas at the time of the accident but flew back to Phoenix immediately after being informed of the situation. On Tuesday, the Tyson family took Exodus off life support. She was pronounced dead just before noon.

"The Tyson family would like to extend our deepest and most heartfelt thanks for all your prayers and support, and we ask that we be allowed our privacy at this difficult time," the family said in a statement.
