Orlando Magic, Denver Nuggets Sick of the Disrespect

If you've been following the NBA Playoffs, you're probably familiar with all the LeBron versus Kobe commercials from Vitamin Water and the chatter from experts already crowning the Lakers and Cavaliers as Western and Eastern Conference champs while in the middle of heated playoff battles. Well, the teams that they're playing, the Denver Nuggets and Orlando Magic, are sick of the disrespect.

"I told ya'll the other day that we find it really disrespectful that everybody seems to be pulling for LeBron and Kobe to get to the finals," Orlando Magic's Dwight Howard wrote on his blog. "Every time I look at TV, it seems like that's all anybody is talking about. It's like nobody is even giving us a shot at winning this series, and we've used it as motivation. Hopefully, we can mess up those plans of getting Cleveland and L.A. in the finals. If the lil' ol' Magic make it, what will they say then?"

Seems like that motivation is working. The Magic came away with a win last night against the Cavaliers, giving them a 3-1 lead in the series. The Nuggets, who are tied 2-2 with the Lakers and play Game 5 tonight, are bothered by the "preordained" finals matchup as well. The Nuggets have outplayed the Lakers in all four games, but a few mental lapses in the fourth quarter cost them a couple of those games.

"I'm sure the world does want Cleveland and the Lakers, the two best players in the world and the chance to see them in a seven-game series," Nuggets guard Chauncey Billups said this week. "But I don't want to see it."

"Everyone just thought us and Orlando we're going to go down so they can play," Nuggets' Kenyon Martin added. "But that ain't going to happen. I'm going to make sure that doesn't happen. Go play 'NBA Live' if you want to see that matchup."

Could the Kobe-LeBron puppet commercials and NBA Finals chatter prove to be a jinx? Check out the commercials:
