Serena Williams Looking Into Writing for Television

First it was tennis, then fashion, followed by acting and now Serena Williams wants to break into writing for television. Williams in currently in the throes of competition at the Wimbledon Tournament in England but let the Associated Press know that she's writing a TV pilot inspired by her favorite shows "Desperate Housewives," "Family Guy," and "Sex and the City."

"You'll be excited to know I wrote three parts already," she told the Associated Press' Steven Wine. "I was going to do it (Tuesday), but I started watching `Dexter' and I got a little sidetracked. You know what, today's a good day. I can write. For me it's really about being in the mood, and how I'm feeling."

Serena said her sister got her a screenwriting book which inspired her to give the writing thing a shot; although she strictly wants to stick with television right now instead of film.

"I don't know how good I would be at writing a movie," Williams said. "But I just love to write."
