Serena Williams had her work cut out for her in the semifinal match against Elena Dementieva, winning 6-7, 7-5, 8-6, and Venus easily destroyed number-one ranked Dinara Safina, 6-1, 6-0, in their semifinal match this week, making for another all-Williams final. This is the fourth time the sisters will battle in the Wimbledon final, with Serena leading 2-1.
"A fourth final -- it's so exciting. It was so hard before my match to watch all that drama," Venus told the Associated Press, referring to Serena's semifinal. "It was so difficult, but the hardest part is next to come, to play Serena Williams."
There have been a total of seven all-Williams championship matches at majors, with Serena leading 5-2. But in overall tournament play, the sisters are tied 10-10. This time, however, Venus is trying to become the first woman since Steffi Graf to win Wimbledon three years in a row. The sisters will face off this Saturday, July 4, on ESPN. My daughters and I will be watching. My oldest, Brianna loves Serena and my middle daughter (Brooke) want Venus to win. I am will be rooting for both because I love the sport.

the williams are the reason that our family got interested in tennis, we love to see them playing, when serena played the russian that was a game that kept us jumping all over the place the russian would get in front and then serena would get in front i mean it was a tight game and those are the ones thats really good, and serena finally came fron behind to win, now when the sisters play we all have a different one that we be pulling for and yes we do pit one aganist the other thats the fun of it.

i notice that at the game there was a lot of the tennis greats in the stands billie jean ets, thats good to see the greats to come out and support the up and coming stars and the williams are in it to win it, i love the way that the williams along with the other americans represent our country bot abroad and at home its refreshing to see that the williams are a part of the fabric of our lifes just like all of the rest of the players, and are loved by the masses, that speaks volume.
