Houston Rocket Tracy McGrady will be sporting a different number when he returns next season. T-Mac, who spent a large part of the year rehabilitating his knee, has been rocking No. 1 since his days with the Orlando Magic, but he's trading it in for No. 3 in a nod to his documentary on Darfur, '3 Points.' The title refers to the goals McGrady has for his efforts: peace, protection and punishment.
In the summer of 2007, McGrady took a trip to the Darfur region of Sudan, where civil unrest is at an all-time high. He filmed his experience while he was there and has since dropped more than $75,000 in humanitarian aid to the region. Check out a preview of the film below:

finally... at least he's doing something good with his time.
I hope Daryl does something and convinces Les to finally get rid of him... take him out to the pasture. His basketball career is O V E R !
...and has been for a LONG time.

I think its wonderful what Mr McGrady is doing. More people should open thier hearts and wallets to those in dire straits and needs. Auburndale High should be proud of its son.

I sort of laugh when I hear people talk about what atheletes should "do with their time," as it relates to those more unfortunate than everyone else. I wonder, if all these athletes, would do more with their money here at home, would we really need the huge welfare system we have now? Seems to me with all the money being paid to these guys, in all sports, they could easily resolve the issue of welfare as we know it in the USA. But I guess that is far too much to ask. They need their ten million dollar homes, and multi cars etc etc. I do not compliment them when they do this sort of thing. See, the big news was he was changing numbers, NOT what he is doing. They are overpaid and overpampered.

NBA players don't need numbers, just put a dollar sign on their back. Double and triple dollar signs for Labron and Kolby!
