Ever wish that while playing EA Sports' college football games you could plays as Grambling State University, Southern University or some other historically black college or university? Well, the new Xbox 360 game 'Black College Football Xperience: The Doug Williams Edition' is hoping to fill that void. The game features 36 HBCUs and the ability to play in games such as the Bayou Classic, the Labor Day Classic and the MEAC/SWAC Challenge. But the game is more than just Xs and Os. It also pays homage to the halftime shows by letting players rock along using a drum set. The mini-game has three levels of difficulty, and if you win the drumline competition, your team will have the momentum going into the second half.
The game is set to hit stores on Aug. 24, but for now you can check out the trailer below:

So I'm having difficulty understanding why we need black football when the man is so over represented in the arena. And rightly so. We all know you rock! But those white and hispanic boys rough it up too you know. So where's the love there?

Well, michellegator71. If you dont understand you never will. Not only is this the best POSITIVE thing to happen to OUR boys since the election, it is so needed because it not only gets the attention of the ones that need it(black boys ages 12-25), it is positive and exposes them to black college life. You are obviously not a product of the HBCU experience and do not value what it offers to us. Our greatest black leaders are products of this experience. Please RECOGNIZE!!!

It is refreshing to find such a product. I cant understand why people are saying this game is racist?? Is the existance of HBCU's itself racist??? This product gives the opportunity to showcase the talent and the mere existence of these programs that aren't showcased in the mainstreamed games. I hope this product is successful in its first year so they can have annual editions like its competitors.
