Disgraced NFL star Michael Vick sat down with '60 Minutes' in his first interview since he admitted to running an illegal dogfighting ring."The first day I walked into prison and they slammed that door," Vick says. "I knew the magnitude of the decisions that I make and the poor judgment and what I allowed to happen to the animals."
"When I was in prison, I was disgusted, you know, because of what I let happen to those animals. I could've put a stop to it," he said. "And that was the reason I cried so many nights."

He's only sorry he got caught. I thank God Rooney from the Steelers is classy and smart enough not to have him in Pittsburgh. I hope karma bites the Eagles in the ass.

CoCo
I think it was a BIG OL MISTAKE Rooney didn't want Vick. In my opinion it's his loss. I can't stand the Steeler's anyway and I am from Pittsburgh. The fans, media, and dog lovers around here are too damn HARSH! They all need to get over it! The man did his time, paid his dues, getting the help that he needs. People need to love and forgive people. Please don't let me get started on the case with Ben. Even though he is not charged about the rape case, it looked like the media SWEPT THAT UNDER THE RUG? Ben was only in the news in Pittsburgh for one damn week? I don't know, if Ben did or not? Any athlete is capable now a days, regardless of what good image you have! I am glad he got signed to the Eagles. Hopefully he will be a good team player and win many games against the sorry STEEELER'S!

You know what....do we every remember way God forgives....If you did something and other folks kept you in you past life, what would do?would be
standing up for yourself or would you run and hide
from the MISTAKES you made?At some point in EVERYONES LIFE we've all done something that's not
cool or exceptable to others...NOBODY IS PERFECT...Jesus died a PERFECT HUMAN,so that when we make a mistake we can go to God Through Christ
and ask forgiveness...He has DONE his TIME...LET THE MAN LIVE AND MAKE A LIVING.Only God can judge him.LEAVE HIM ALONE,HE'S PAID THE PRICE....SO DID JESUS.
PEACE&BLESSINGS,
TO YOU ALL,
PEACE&BLESSINGS TO MICHAEL VICK...BROTHER GOD BE WITH YOU

I wish someone in HOUSTON had the 'balls' to pursue Michael Vick so that we could finally have a 'winning' team and a'winning' season. He made a mistake and he's paid his debt to society. I say "forget PETA" and push on.

When I started watching the video a "Viagra" video came on at first and messed up the interview while it was on. I watched it again and the commercial ran first and went to back to Vick when he came back on. I thought it was distracting and wish it could have been edited out. But anyway, I listened and watched his body language and I feel this man is very remorseful! In my mind I think it he was bored and the rush that made him go on and on. I don't think he did to make $$$$. He is paid. People can change and he had a lot of time with God and being in prison that woke him up! In the process, he changed his old way of thinking and got back on the right track. It is nice to see Vick's family, coach Dungy, other coaches, teammates, friends, and ect... support and help him get his life back on track. He was raised in watching dog fights so it was in him as he got older. This doesn't excuse for what he did. I forgave him and other people should forgive this man, let him play be a better man, and move the hell on.
You will still have the haters and the dog lovers that will be on his ass and will never let it go. Listen to all of yall, LET IT GO and MOVE ON! There are so many other people that commit much worse crimes in this world towards human beings and are still walking this earth! I feel that black and white athletes are not equally exposed in the media. In my opinion, they always blow out of proportion of any black athletes who do crimes and lesser crimes. I don't think that's right and fare! We are suppose to be God's Children to love and forgive! I say Vick will turn a Negative into a Positive message and will get through kids and people of all ages those that are like that and will make a change! I believe that this is God's plan for him and I know he is on the right track! Go gete'm Vick and do what it do!

What you fail to understand Ms. Unique is that many love dogs as much as everything else. To us, this crime is everybit as bad as if he had done it to humans. He hung, drowned, electricuted, beat, and left them in pain and hungy to die a long suffering death. Not to mention what he did with "teaser" dogs. He through his own family dogs in the pit with the fighting dogs and watched them rip them apart limb by limb. Something is terrible wrong with this man. If he changed so much, why did he test positive for weed when he was sent to take a empathy class? A man who was sorry wouldn't get high before a empathy class. He was a celebrity in prison. He learned nothing.

Your from Pittsburgh? Your calling the Steelers "sorry"? The same Steelers that won 6 Super Bowls? Okay....your opinion means nothing to me. Oh, BTW, Ben was not convicted. If he is convicted, which I doubt, he will also be a sorry piece of crap like Vick.

Ms. Unique,
or you mean "CoCo", please stop using my name. I don't care if they Steeler's one 10 Super Bowls? I don't like them. Just because I live here doesn't mean that I have to like the Steeler's, the Pirates, or the Penguins? One of the reasons why they aren't my team and turn me off is because of their cocky, ignorant, and have disrespectful attitudes! There is two Steeler players that I admire and have respect for and that is Antonio and Charlie Batch.
So that's my opinion and I don't care if it doesn't mean anything to you are not? I know Ben isn't committed but if any evidence should come out and he is found guilty than let him be
exposed in the media like Michael Vick and get bashed.

I agree with Dimepiece. What Micheal did was wrong and I don't excuse that ,but he is victim of the way he was raised. I do love animals and hate the cruelty that was done to them ,BUT do you realise how many kids in this world are abuse (sexually, mentally & verbally)on a daily based and no one comes to their defense. Ok he has said he is sorry, served his time and lost a lot of money....What more do people want... let move on to a bigger cause like the children who suffer abuse everyday......
