Tests have been analyzed for weeks in the case of South African runner Caster Semenya to determine whether or not she's really a woman. Semenya won the gold medal in the 800-meter dash at the 2009 World Championships but questions arose about her gender. As Semenya pretties herself up for the cover of You magazine, reports are surfacing that the test results conclude that she is a hermaphrodite.
According to an Australian newspaper, the tests found that Semenya has no womb or ovaries but has internal testes, the male organ the produces testosterone. Early tests confirmed that Semenya had testosterone levels three times higher than a normal female, which contribute to her muscular build, her deep voice and body hair.
The International Association of Athletics Federations did not confirm or deny the reports today. The governing body for track and field only said it is reviewing the results of the gender tests and will not issue a final decision until November. Meanwhile, the South African government is renewing complaints that Semenya was gender-tested without her consent.
There's no word if she will be stripped of the gold medal she won since she wasn't aware of her condition. In the interview with You magazine, Semenya brushes off the testing and the media swirl around it.
"God made me the way I am, and I accept myself. I am who I am, and I'm proud of myself," she said. "I don't want to talk about the tests. I'm not even thinking about them."

I WONDER WHAT THE BIBLE THUMPERS WILL HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THIS, SINCE THEY SAY ALL SEXUAL MATTERS ARE SO BLACK AND WHITE, ONE WAY OR THE OTHER, AND THAT GOD DOESN'T MAKE ANYTHING IN BETWEEN?

Completely unfair to compete as a woman against women. 3 times the testerone is to her advantage.

This is a sensitive subject, but if "she" has no womb or ovaries, thus cannot reproduce as a woman does, and has testosterone and testes, "she" should be considered a male. A woman is, in definition, a wombed-man. A man with a womb. That situation is hard to manage without a relationship with the Lord throughout his life. I'll be praying for her/him.

Dear Satan's Kin (Sandy K.),
What's a Bible Thumper? Is is someone who believes the word of God? Or perhaps its someone who cares enough about society to withstand the ridicule of others in order to advocate a kingdom mindset over a worldly mindset(I think I'm a Bible Thumper, Hallelujah!)? And who says that all sexual matters are black and white? Does the Bible say that? I don't think it does (I haven't read it all so I don't know for sure), but I do know that there are men, women, eunuchs, and homosexuals referenced in the bible. As for Caster Semenya, though classifed as a hermaphrodite, he is clearly a man, he was born with no womb or ovaries (he can be given hormones that would enhance and/or produce male genitalia, but he cannot be given hormones to produce a womb or ovaries). As far as his overall physical make-up is concerned, only God knows for certain(ever heard of gene mutation, can be caused by any number of things, including our food consumption, as almost everything we eat today has something in it to enhance it's size -- hormones, etc.), and you can best believe that God Loves and accepts Him just as he was created.
You know, that was wrong of me to address you as Satan's Kin (notice I didn't apologize, I meant it), you're just another lost soul, I hope you find your way, God knows I do.

You hit the nail on the head in your comment on the hermaphrodite! Satans kin was the perfect name for that person who like a lot of people I know think that reading the bible and believing in the word of God is some type of joke or old- fashioned. I believe in the word and everything it says is the truth. I was just telling a friend how everything in life can be solved or resolved through the Bible if you obey and believe in the word. Surprisingly to me he was shocked that I said that, and this person considers himself a Christian... I love Jesus and wish I had more friends and better relationships with people of God that truly believe in the word of God!

Why oh why did they have to put this person through such an ordeal . That is her / his private body parts .She had no input on what her body was born with. I have heard of it before .being born of this nature. But to be born of aman & grow up and turn yourself into woman that is a hore of another color.

Dear Satan's Kin (Sandy K.), I do believe I am a "Bible Thumper (Hallelujah!);" I believe the word of God so strongly that I, through the power of the Holy Spirit of God, am willing to withstand all the ridicule that this world has to offer in hopes that a lost soul, such as yourself, might find their way to a kingdom mindset (Pleasure in God)instead of a worldly mindset(Self Pleasure). Also, I didn't know that the bible indicated that all sexual matters were "black and white." I know that it speaks of men, women, eunuchs and homosexuals with the last two being anything but "black and white." As far as Caster Semenya goes, He is a Man as he was born with no womb or ovaries. Though hormones can be taken that would enhance or produce his male genitalia, nothing can be given to him that would produce a womb and ovaries. Additionally, gene mutation is probably the explanation behind his overall physical state, but truly only God knows and really it doesn't matter, cause God loves him just as he is.
Oh! and it was wrong of me to address you as Satan's Kin (notice I didn't apologize), Perhaps Satan's Advocate would be more appropriate (I have to call them as I see them). --- Hope one day you will come out of the dark and walk into the light!
Peace!

You invalidate yourself, being a christian by the tone of your letter. Never go on a personal attack before you attempt to use the word of God against someone. God does not need your help in putting someone on the right path, his word is sufficient. What you've done is to expose yourself as a immature chrisitian who goes around really to be a pawn of satan, shouting in the name of Jesus. The Apostle paul was like this until he was truly converted on the road to Damascus,(Acts 23).
