Usain Bolt: 'I Wouldn't Want to Play in the NFL'

Ever since Jamaican track star Usain Bolt started breaking all types of records, sports fans have been hoping that he would try his hand at another sport. Football, basketball and soccer have all come up as possibilities, but Bolt is opting out all of that talk.

"I wouldn't want to play in the NFL," Bolt told the Associated Press. "If I did, I'd want to play running back, but they say I'm too tall. They would want me to play wide receiver. They get hit too much. I'm not in the mood to be hit that much. I would definitely give soccer more consideration."

Instead, Bolt wants to concentrate on cementing his name in sports history. Even though he'll already be mentioned among great track stars, he feels like he still has more work to do.

"I want to be a legend in the sport. For me, it's all a focus on winning championships after championships," Bolt said. "I don't consider myself a legend. When I defend my titles, I will consider myself a legend."

Bolt will be defending his records at the 2011 IAAF World Championships in Daegu, South Korea, and the 2012 London Olympics. In the meantime, he'll be partying like every other superstar athlete. Bolt is currently organizing a Super Party in Jamaica to celebrate his accomplishments and his country. The party will go down Dec. 4 and 5 in St. Ann.

"I have been lucky to be given the chance to meet so many wonderful and talented athletes from all around the world, and I believe that if I can create the opportunity for youngsters to meet, interact and work with top-class professional athletes, it will be one of my greatest achievements," Bolt said. "I want to invite some of these professionals who I have met to come enjoy the weekend with me, and also to spend time with some youngsters and share their knowledge and experience with them."
