Carmelo Anthony recently launched a new Web site, ThisisMelo.com, which will apparently provide an inside look into his life off the court. Anthony and his Denver Nuggets went deep in to the NBA playoffs last season, ultimately losing to the L.A. Lakers in the Western Conference finals, but that still didn't stop Melo from making moves this summer.
"Everybody knows the competitor and athlete that I am, but as a fan, you want to know what goes on in the day to day," he said in a video message on the site. "It's important for me to show what it takes for me to be the player that I am at the end of the day."
Right now, Anthony's Web site just has a few videos that feature shout-outs from Kobe Bryant, comedian Alex Thomas, clips from Melo's high school and college days as well as footage from Melo doing some charity work.
In addition to the Web site, the folks at Athlebrities.com let us know that Melo signed a deal with TAG to have a line of his own signature body sprays. The line, called Stay Up, joins rapper Ludacris' Get Yours and MTV's Rob Drydek's Makes Moves body sprays.
The trio is competing to see who sells the most cans. Ten percent of the net sales will go to their charities, and the winner will get an additional $25,000. Check out Melo at the photo shoot for the ads below:
