Over Antoine Walker's illustrious 13-year NBA career, he's made at least $110 million, but apparently today, he's broke. Walker will be going to court this week in Las Vegas to answer to charges of fraud for writing bad checks, totaling $1 million, to different casinos. He was arrested back in July, but now an in-depth report by the Boston Globe claims that Walker may be worse off than first thought. According to the Globe, Walker also owes J.P. Morgan Chase Bank $1,571,771.47, Wachovia Bank $1,540,929.14, American Express 53,321.71 and his former agent $450,000.Although Walker and his reps aren't speaking on the situation, his mother, Diane Walker, is speaking up in defense of her son.
Mother Walker told the Boston Globe:
Antoine doesn't owe anybody any explanation. He's not out here hurting anybody. He's trying to live his life peacefully. That's all he's doing . . . My son is young. Why can't he just enjoy life, go where he wants to go? Antoine is doing great. I have my home. He has his home. If he's doing so bad, then how could we still be here?
Apparently, Antoine needs to talk to his momma. He was released from the Grizzlies last season and is currently looking for a team to sign him; he's even considering going overseas. In the meantime, though, Walker is going to court to answer to charges of three felony counts of drawing and passing checks without sufficient funds with intent to defraud. If Walker cannot settle and start making payments on this debt, he may face a sentence of one to four years in prison.

All of these tax dead beats (Black and White) better start paying up real soon. The governmant is going broke so it's looking for every penny that is owed.
So pay up, folks and stop listening to the people showing you slick ways to avoid paying taxes. You will have paid them for bad info and they are gone but then you're stuck with taxes and penalties. Pay your taxes before you buy your bling!
Pay your taxes; they are as sure as death, so pay up!

So many times we see websites or get information via email with offers about making money. They always seem too good to be true. I just wanted to let you guys know that I don't regret making the small investment that has allowed so many other doors to open for me. Before I signed up with 123cashsurveys ( http://tinyurl.com/123surveys ) I felt like my life was so routine - but now it's filled with so many interesting, fun and financially rewarding things to do. I mean, who would have thought you could get paid to give your opinion. WOW!! I do have one regret ... that I didn't find http://tinyurl.com/123surveys earlier.

Don't see anything in this story about back taxes. It's mostly about writing awfully large BAD CHECKS.

What's mother Walker thinking about. "He's not hurting anybody" WOMAN, WAKE THE HELL UP. Your son is a DEAD BEAT. You come up with what he owes. Hope he gets 3 good meals and sleeps good, in jail. Three hots and a cot. That's all he deserves.
Dead Beat, that's all he is. Plain and simple

That's why these athletes need to be in college taking economics courses before they go pro. How does a millionaire ball player get into such debt? Why run up a credit card and take out loans when you know you have problems handling money ? It's those big gambling debts is what it is. I can't sympathize.

This is the type of Professional Sports Player you want to bring into college to teach all those students of all ages to let them learn something before it's to late. When I say teach those students, I mean all sports students and letting them all see what can be done to themselves. It doesn't matter what sport they are in. This is a NBA player but that doesn't matter because that money is powerful and can hurt you as well as help you in ways. They need to learn on how to invest on a few things for future reasons. No telling what may come about.

His mother obviously doesn't know what her "saint" has been up too all these years. Wake up mama, smell the taxman's suit that's going to be after your baby.
