A few years ago, Miami Dolphins running back Ricky Williams was known to get medicated with substances that the NFL wouldn't allow (read: marijuana). Nowadays, he's still getting the health care he needs, but in an unorthodox way. Along with his vegetarian diet, the acupuncture, the massages, yoga and meditation, Williams is also an active participant in "pranic healing." It's an ancient medical treatment that Williams can perform on himself or with the assistance of a pranic healer. How does it work?"Ricky will send me a text message saying, for example, to work on his ankle," Williams' pranic healer Daniel O'Hara of Orange County, Calif., told the Miami Herald. "[I'll] visualize Ricky's ankle as if he's standing in front of me. I visualize him glowing. I make a sweeping motion over my ankle to remove the dirty energy from his ankle that's creating an abnormality and give his body fresh, revitalizing energy. Ricky could be doing anything when I'm doing this -- watching TV, sleeping. It's like a voodoo doll. I know it sounds strange."
After the session, Williams will text O'Hara to tell him how he's feeling.
"He says it's a four, and I'll try to get it to a 10," O'Hara said. "It takes me four minutes with Ricky, because he meditates and has positive energy. It could take 25 minutes with somebody else. He's special."
Williams really doesn't care what you may think about it, because for him it's working:
"Usually, I prefer to work on it myself, but for some of the little nicks, I've had this season. Daniel has really helped me. I know for a fact it works. It's fascinating," Williams said.

Ricky has gone thru a lot. Fame and money has beaten him to a pulp. If he is doing this insted of drugs more power to him. It may be weird but its better than doing illlegal drugs. and he has had a couple of good sasons since the change.
