Now that Tiger Woods has made the startling admission that he is less than perfect and acts like most men do when it comes to the opposite sex, let's all get off his back and let him repair his damaged relationship with his family.
Woods, possibly the most famous athlete in the world, announced that he "let his family down" and committed "transgressions" in the wake of a bizarre car crash/domestic abuse incident outside his Florida home last week.
Rachel Uchitel, the woman who Tiger is alleged to have carried on an affair with, vehemently denied it, but another woman, Jaimee Grubbs, who no one had heard of prior to Tigergate, has slithered out the woodwork to tell all who will listen that she had an ongoing affair with Woods and kept some steamy text messages to prove it.
Woods never admitted exactly what happened with who in his announcement, but we've all seen this act before.
It's a story that has been played out in the most powerful corridors of the world, from the White House to million-dollar playgrounds of the rich and famous.
For these men, the normal rules of life don't apply. They don't wait in lines for service like the rest of us. They don't even have to pay for many of the luxuries of life they enjoy. They fly around the world in first class like we take a drive across town. They don't even know what the word NO means.
So when the urge for sex with a beautiful woman (or not so beautiful, in some cases) is combined with opportunity, they do it. This isn't meant to absolve Tiger for his screw up. It's just that all the punishment should be dealt out by is wife and little daughters. The rest of us need to butt out.
And with the reports of what happened that first night during Tigergate-Tiger's wife reportedly wielded a golf club at the golfer-the penalty at home may be worse.
Tiger may need to take some pointers from NBA player Kobe Bryant, who also publicly admitted to his own transgressions a few years back. In forgiveness, Kobe bought a diamond ring for his wife that cost more than most homes.
Right now I wouldn't mind being an upscale jeweler in Tiger's neighborhood. He might have a big order coming in the next few days.

This is their business, until the law has been broken, which may indeed be the case. If his wife beat him then she should be arrested and charged with domestic violence. There is a zero tolerance for that in Florida. Read the associated article by Dr. Boyd et.al. If we think ,as the ill informed writer of this article , then we miss the point that a jealous person, regardless, cannot beat another or they face jail time, and even loss of their parental rights if they continue and this article gives the idiotic impression that Tiger justified violence against himself. Read the law.

I think people should leave Tiger and his transgressions alone and deal with their own transgressions, if they have any (and they do, but they act as if they don't). A person is innocent until proven guilty in most civilized societies, anyway. I don't understand why Tiger had to say anything about his transgressions, not even to a priest, let alone to millions of people who are not responsible for Tiger's personal life. He has a right not to incriminate himself. Let those women prove that they had an affair with Tiger.

While unfortunate, I do believe there are many things in today's world that are more important..Like worrying about abused children and trying to find help for them..People who cannot afford their medicine...I think this episode is of little or no interest..It should remain between Mr. and Mrs. Woods...Not for the enire world...It is their business not ours..I do think, however, his father would be heartbroken...thank you

Tiger is a dog just like the other black athletes who cant keep it in their pants. The women who married them should expect this kind of behavior. They dont care about hurting their children and the wives forgive them because they love the money, I have seen some butt ugly stars with beautiful women, They would not pay any attention to them if they were regular guys. This whole Hollywood and Sports world is a joke. They are breaking their marriage vows and sleeping with everybody, They pass women around like a bag of chips. No respect for women and the women have no respect for themselves, And what makes it worse is that some people condone this behavior. Give poor Tiger a break. It is dangerous to fool around like that, Look at Magic Johnson, But his dumb wife took him back too. That joker got Aids and walking around like he the man. The only reason he isnt screwing around is because women dont want to catch it,

Tiger is a disappointment I would hope he is not typical of all men. He is a pig and now he's a joke and I am a fan or I should say I was a fan. Why does race always come into these stories?

In light of today's world problems this should be the least of our worries. Please-leave these people alone. However, I do have a few questions to pose. Why does race have to enter into the discussions regarding Tiger? There have been well publicized affairs among other athletes, actors, politicians, et al. Most of them have been Caucasian men. I am a Caucasian women and have had many friends who's' Caucasian husbands have cheated on them once and some have cheated multiple times. I don't condone this behavior, but it does take two to make a successful marriage. There are usually faults that can be laid on each partner. Also, one blogger stated that Tiger should lose his endorsements because people buy products when he endorses the product. If people buy products because Tiger is the spokesman they are trying to impress others or are not very discerning consumers. The women involved have no self respect, were looking for their fifteen minutes of fame and are extremely poor examples for today's young women. I hope the Wood's get professional counseling and are able to work through their serious marital chasm. This family needs its privacy to heal. I hope for the sake of the children this marriage can be resurrected. I wish the media and all gossip mongers would back off and worry about their own personal problems.
