Tiger Woods' Doctor Arrested for Actovegin and Other Performance-Enhancing Drug Charges

As I mentioned in an article earlier this week,
the scandal involving Tiger Woods is far from over. A major shoe dropped today when Tony Galea, a doctor used by Tiger Woods on multiple occasions, was arrested for importing and using banned drugs. Galea himself has admitted to using HGH (Human Growth Hormone) and was linked to Woods when his knee would not heal as fast as he and "Team Tiger" thought it should.

Mark Steinberg, of the International Management Group, which represents Woods, even begged the New York Times not to release the story:

"I would really ask that you guys don't write this?" Steinberg stated to the paper in an e-mail, "If Tiger is NOT implicated, and won't be, let's please give the kid a break."

Galea was arrested in a Toronto airport on October 15, after HGH and Actovegin were found in his medical bag. The doctor reportedly worked with Woods in February and March at his home, when his knee was keeping him off the golf course. The procedure involved extracting blood from Woods, spinning it and reinserting it after the platelets had increased.

"He said he couldn't believe how good he feels," Galea said. "He'd joke and say, 'I can jump up on the kitchen table,' and I said, Please don't. "

Galea was reported to have sent NFL wide receiver Javon Walker to Jerusalem to get a cartilage replacement surgery that is illegal in the United States. Not exactly the kind of doctor that Tiger Woods should be spending his time with.

America already thinks that Tiger cheats on his wife. If it's found that he also cheats on his original love, golf, then his legacy is as good as dead.
