Ron Artest Writes a Letter to Tiger Woods

L.A. Laker Ron Artest has been through his fair share of drama with the media and fans, so, apparently, he feels he can offer Tiger Woods some words of encouragement. On his blog, at ronartest.com, Ron Ron penned an open letter to the embattled golf superstar, with hopes of not only comforting Woods but also getting fans to support him.

"In reading the statements you have made, I can tell you are a stand-up guy," Artest writes. "Please remember only Jesus is perfect. You made a mistake and you admitted your infidelity. I have made the same mistakes."

Artest continued by sharing his experiences with his baby mommas and how hard it is not to think about women when he is on the road, even though he's married and loyal to his wife. And then Artest calls out the media for putting Tiger down:

"I have been disturbed by this, because there are many people who are happy that this bad news has come out," Artest said. "There are a lot of sports announcers and regular reporters who are not perfect in their own homes, yet they want to bring you down. You have done so much for people, the sport of golf, and your family and you gave your wife a life that people can't even dream of."

He ends his blog post by telling those same announcers to tell their wives if they've been sneaking around. Check out the post in its entirety here.

In Artest's world, drama arrives via revolving door. Most remember his participation in the 2004 "Malice at the Palace" brawl. Artest was suspended for half a season. He's also been suspended for asking for time off to promote album projects on his label in 2005 and for destroying a TV camera in 2003. Off the court, Artest's issues range from being investigated for mistreating his dogs to being arrested for domestic abuse while he was with the Sacramento Kings.
