James "Lights Out" Toney has been at the top and bottom of the boxing world, and at age 41, he's looking to do something a bit different. Toney bum-rushed the press area after the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 108 event last weekend and called out UFC President Dana White for apparently ducking his calls about joining the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) league."I'm here. We can do this. I was waiting for [Dana White] to give me a call and quit dodging me," Toney told Ariel Helwani from AOL FanHouse. "This will be the biggest fight ever, period. The biggest event."
Toney's last fight was in September against Matthew Greer, where he won by technical knockout in the second round. Toney currently holds the NABO and IBA heavyweight belts, and White apparently thinks that Toney wouldn't be half bad in the UFC.
"Of all the guys they've tried to bring [over] from boxing, [they were] either guys who were shot or too old. James Toney is the real deal," White told SportsNet's Joe Ferraro. "He's a nasty, mean dude. We're going to sit down and talk tonight."
