Glen Davis Changes NicknameAfter Boston Celtics center Glen Davis was called immature over the last year due to his off-court issues that included a fight, where he was suspended for 27 games this season, and last week's obscenity-filled eruption with a fan that cost him $25,000. Now he's trying to make changes.

First on the list is his nickname, "Big Baby."

"I've been called 'Big Baby' all through my life," Davis told ESPNBoston.com. "But I'm going through changes. I'm in a cocoon and I'm coming out a different player, a different person. Basically, the new person is growth. I'm shedding that Big Baby and you can see something else, not the past."

Davis apologized for his antics and is committed to making changes to his character, especially after the Celtics gave him a contract worth more than $6 million over two years.

"Sometimes in the game of basketball you kind of show your emotions in a different way, just like when you go to work and you get a staple in your hand or your boss is messing with you," he said. "In my job, it's just a different experience. I'm a young guy who is trying to learn how to live life in this sport and adapt to this lifestyle. There are some tough bumps. The Celtics have done a great job of sticking with me and understanding."

As far as a new nickname, a local suggested one, a la Chad Ohcocinco.

"'Uno Uno,'" Davis remarked, pondering his jersey number. "I like that, I like that. I'll be Uno Uno, that's my new name."
