Mike Tyson is having a pretty good post-boxing career life. He has a successful documentary out, he's acting in movies and enjoying marriage. And he's keeping it moving by getting down with a reality show. Tyson recently appeared on the Italian version of "Dancing with the Stars" and isn't doing half bad. He didn't do much dancing in the ring during his boxing career, maybe he's making up for it now?

All those "good times" you spoke of cost Tyson his freedom, his marriages, his "friends" (who were all buzzards & freeloaders anyway, especially Don King) his hundreds of millions, his assets, his swagger, his championships, his rightful place in boxing history and a badly damaged reputation & image worldwide.
Now Mike has aged, both mentally & physically and is now in the beginning of the "maturity zone" in his life when, upon deep reflection and much thought, he finally realized that all those "good times" you refer to (that certainly entertained & gratified you) was a total waste of unnecessary bullshit and now, it has ann continues to cost him professionally and his personal life/family dearly.
But good for Mike in doing this!
Tyson deserves to have positive change his life and reputation; have some fun & positive noterity in his life with all the negative drama (in & out the ring) that he has endured throughout his entire professional & personal life which is deeply engrained in the minds of all people (both fans and non-fans) when his name is mentioned or discussed.
It's just too bad that he chose to not do the American version of the show since it would have helped him to continue repairing his image but then again, if he does well on DWTS in Italy, they he may be invited to do the American version.
Mike will be alright.
No one, especially famous people or pro athletes, wants to be remembered as a raging animal their entire lives and upon their death with no redeeming qualities.
Just consider ex-heavyweight boxing champion Sonny Liston.

Mike,. if you had utilized the "Wrap-around' defense instead of the "peek aboo" style, you would lasted at least 5 years more and never lost to Douglas et al. Both systems are good, but when one slows up the "Peek-aboo" loses it efficacy. Considering everything, in your prime, you were the absolute
best!
