Officially announced on the PGA Tour website, Tiger Woods will finally be holding a press conference at TPC Sawgrass clubhouse in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., on Friday, at 11 a.m. ET.
According to the PGA Tour:
"Tiger plans to discuss his past and his future and he intends to apologize for his behavior."
This will be Tiger's first appearance since the fateful car accident in late November 2009, which unraveled his marriage and galvanized a circus-like succession of alleged mistresses for the golf star.
With hope, Tiger's announcement will turn the page on both the negative publicity and endless rumors (i.e., gay affairs, pregnancy claims and sex rehab clinic) that have assaulted his career and life.

According to ESPN, Tiger Woods will have "pre-selected" media people at the presser and will not take any questions from the media. He will omly read a prepared statement.

I wish Tiger would cancel this press conference. He doesn't owe anyone any explanations or apologies except for his wife and family and he needs to stop talking about this issue. The rest of the people are just busybodies poking into other people's personal business and are not owed any expalanations.
If Tiger and other celebrities would refuse to discuss their personal business in public, maybe the public would get over its unnatural desire to know everything about everyone.
Tiger does not owe us an explanation, we, the public, owe him an apology for getting into his personal business.
