Basketball star Allen Iverson, who skipped the All-Star game festivities in Dallas last weekend, was busy caring for his 4 year-old daughter, Messiah, who was at his Atlanta home with an unknown illness.
Iverson, who returned to the Philadelphia 76ers this season, said the girl, one of his five children, has been admitted to the hospital on more than one occasion and will travel to Philadelphia's Children's Hospital for further testing.
"If they find out it's pneumonia, which they hope its not, they're going to have to admit her again," Allen told reporters. "All I do is just pray on it, because that's all that can be done right now because they don't know exactly what's wrong with her."
Though Iverson has returned to practice, the team announced that it was not certain when he would return to the regular lineup.
Iverson, an 11-time NBA all star and fan favorite, is winding down a Hall of Fame-level career.

Seriously, I hope he is sincere about this statement that he made, because if he is not , he will see some very dark days. He signed with the Piston and didn't play enough to earn a days pay. He sat on the side line and got paid according to his contract, and that is not fair. He and his mom stayed at the Casinos and he got in trouble with the law. What kind of guy is he? If don't want to play anymore.RETIRE!!!

AMEN!!!, Ella gamble, thats what I've been trying to tell all these sentimental fools on this blog!! This is all about him, not his daughter. He did this with the Pistons, Grizzlies, and now he's creating drama and controversy all over again

Stop the hate!!! I am praying for your daughter and your family. May God guide the Dr's and find the cure for her. You haters evidently have never had to deal with a seriously child. I have been there so please have respect.

Im a mother who have 11 tatoos!!!! Just for your information, I also have 6 kids!!!! Neither ONE of my kids have caught ne thing then a cold!!! And for someone to put so much hate on a child, if I was A.I. I would hunt you down and do some damage!!! My children are 14, 12, 8, 6, 3 and an newborn!!! True enough, A.I. have made some wrong decisions in his Life, not Career!! For all you "pencil pushers" or " trash collectors" who hate on him and doubt him, guess what, I'm speaking for him.....YOU JUST MAD BECAUSE HE DID THINGS HIS WAY, AND STILL GOT HIS WAY". Karma might be blinding him....but he's still doing him!! How dare blame body art, a ill child, and a human.. being human, for harm!! I hope..NO I PRAY...that u will soon see what it feel like to be in the ...MISUNDERSTOOD ALLEN IVERSON...shoes!!! Keep me posted!! :)
