New York Yankee star Alex Rodriguez has been trying to keep his nose clean since admitting to using performance enhancing drugs last year, but it looks like he's being dragged into another illegal drug case. Federal investigators have contacted A-Rod regarding an investigation into Canadian doctor, Anthony Galea, for selling an unapproved drug. Rodriguez told the Associated Press that he was aware of the investigation but didn't elaborate."I can't really get into that," Rodriguez said. "I have to speak to those guys first. I've just got to wait for instructions."
Galea is facing charges in Canada for selling Actovegin, a drug that is extracted from a calf's blood and used for healing. Galea's assistant is also facing charges in the U.S. for having HGH and another drug while crossing the border, according to the Associated Press. Galea has treated athletes like Tiger Woods and Mets shortstop Jose Reyes but the Yankees said they never approved Galea to treat any of their players. When asked if Galea ever treated him Rodriguez refused to comment.
"I'm focused on baseball," Rodriguez said.
A-Rod isn't facing any types of charges in relation to this investigation.
