Joslyn James Text Messages

A former pornographic actress who says that she had a three-year relationship with golf superstar Tiger Woods posted text messages online that she says Woods sent to her last year. "I just wanted to let the public know what the relationship was, and that he has not taken responsibility for his behavior," said Veronica Siwik-Daniels (pictured above), whose screen name is Joslyn James.

"Everyone else can draw their own conclusions from that," she said.

Her website posted 120 text messages that she claims came from Woods between July and October of 2009. She says that the messages document "just a brief part of the time we had together."

The text messages provide information on hotel rooms and times that the two could meet. He also told her to remain discreet about their relationship. Some of the messages are sexually explicit. You can read them here.

Swik-Daniels claims that the messages would be considered "typical of those between someone you are in a relationship with." She also claims that she stopped making pornographic films, because Woods became jealous of the idea of her being with another man.

After Tiger's public apology earlier this month, Swik-Daniels stated that Tiger should be willing to be public about their relationship. "I would be open to a telephoned apology from Tiger, but I really feel that I deserve to look at him in person, face-to-face, in his eyes, because I did not deserve this," Siwik-Daniels said. She told CNN that she has not heard from Woods since the scandal was released to the public.

I don't have anything else to say about this one except, Wow. I don't consider myself to be an expert on love, but I've never had the experience of falling in love with a porn star. It appears that Tiger has made his bed, and he's going to have to sleep in it. As he moves on with his life, he will have a trail of people he has helped and hurt along the way. The measure is whether, at the end of it all, Tiger can say that his life did more good than harm toward others.

In light of the story about former NBA star Winston Bennett, who claimed that he slept with 90 women per month, I am hopeful that Tiger Woods and others who do the same thing are careful about their sexuality. There are roughly 50,000 Americans infected with HIV every year, and the growth rate is likely to increase dramatically, since some (though not all) of the newly infected are sexually promiscuous and may be irresponsible. While it is not my job to judge Tiger Woods or anyone else, we must understand that there can be serious consequences for irresponsible sexual behavior.

As for Joslyn James, we know what her release of the messages is all about: money and fame. She is represented by attorney Gloria Allred, and is set to cash in on her newfound exposure. But who can blame her? You share your heart with someone and then they pretend like you don't exist? It's not as if Tiger's going to pay her bills anymore. Let's just hope this stuff gets out of the media soon, because it's really none of our business. I want to see Tiger hitting golf balls.
