It seems that everyone has something to say about Tiger Woods and his sex scandal. I've written on it a zillion times here at Aol. Black Voices, and now, even rapper Snoop Dogg has something to say. Snoop, known as the "player's player," had some harsh words for the women who went public to embarrass Tiger:
"[I'm]down with Tiger Woods. I'm just disgusted with all these women that keep popping up. What do they think - they're gonna get points? That just despicable, you whore."
Alrighty then. With that said, Snoop did other interviews on his media tour, in which he explained how Tiger broke the "player's rules" by leaving a voice message with one of his mistresses. He also mentioned that Tiger did other things to undermine his ability to sneak around on his wife. I'm not sure if Snoop is the one who should be giving Tiger (or anyone else) relationship advice, but who am I to judge?
One interesting thing about Snoop that I've noticed over the years is that he has evolved dramatically in some areas, and remained uncomfortably stagnant in others. On one hand, he now speaks about the wisdom of showing respect for his wife (ironic right?) and also goes out of his way to give advice to rappers who end up on the wrong side of the law.
On the other hand, Snoop is stuck in a world where he is now a 40-year-old man trying to be a 22-year-old. The same smooth and cool swagger that defined Snoop in the 1990s remains, but it's difficult to watch a middle-aged man putting out records that many of us don't want to listen to anymore. In fact, even though Snoop is one of my favorite artists in the world, I just can't get in to his music: it simply lacks the originality that artists, such as T.I., have in their own songs. But with that said, there is something so cool about Snoop that you know he's never going to go away. He and Ice-T are iconic figures who don't seem to need hit records in order to remain relevant. I continue to be amazed.
My respect for Snoop Dogg is strong due to his lineage in the Ice Cube/NWA family tree of gangsta rap. He, Eazy-E and others, are responsible for the creation of a multibillion dollar industry that has done both good and bad for the world. While we might be quick to question the merits of gangsta rap, the truth is that Snoop and other gang-affiliated artists are merely products of their collective environment. Most of us know that the Crips and Bloods were made in America, in large part due to the fact that the CIA looked the other way as drugs and automatic weapons were allowed to be delivered to the doorsteps of black teenagers. Corporate America's decision to mass market this violence created the impactful and somewhat disturbing influence that gangsta rap has had on America. Personally, this music excited me as a teenager, but it's sad that the amazing artistic talents of Ice Cube, Snoop and others were forced to reveal themselves through a lens psychological trauma.
With regard to Snoop Dogg giving advice to Tiger Woods, my personal advice to Tiger is to not take Snoop's advice at all. But then again, Tiger is getting life-coaching tips from damn near everyone, so why shouldn't Snoop be in on the conversation? No matter how you slice it, though, this is going to be a monster year for Tiger, and while Snoop might say that Tiger has no game, this year will remind him that Tiger's golf game is outstanding.
Watch Snoop Dogg act a fool here:

-Love how most black men are 'down with Tiger' because they see he is a cheat just like they are.
-I hear black men praising him all the time because they thought he was a cornball until they found out he had it in him to be calculating, sneaky, and a big liar. Proves the point that I made the other day that some blacks will condone what is blatantly wrong just to be or look cool.
Grow the hell up Snoop & who cares what you think-stick to rappin

I should've said alot of black men, not most. I dont see Caucasian men openly applauding the fact that he was cheating regardless to what race his wife is

Especially ironic when you consider that Tiger would not be down with any black man. He is not down with us and proved that by finding the whitest of white women to marry--a nanny at that. She isn't even cute and is not aging well, of course. But even she was not good or even trashy enough for him. He cheated on her with trailer trash and cocktail waitresses--ALL WHITE. When are we going to see white partner preference for what it is, another form of internalized racism and collective self negation? Tiger was trained to want what white men have, no matter how bad or counter productive that might be for him. That alone should tell us that he doesn't have the values we should want to see replicated in the black community. We have our own problems and Tiger--the Cablanasian--isn't one of them.

I agree, black males (won't call any cheater or those who support cheating men) are with that Knee-grow Tiger Woods because he was screwing a lot of women, lying, and getting away with it for a while.
Too many black males are cheaters, liars, and abusers, so it doesn't surprise me that an irrelevant, pot-smoking fool like Snoop Dogg would come to the "Cablanasian's" defense. This fool doesn't even want to be black. He was raised to worship whiteness and white women. Look how all those white skanks ratted him out and I bet that will not stop him from desiring white women. He's all messed up! I kinda feel sorry for him to be in that kind of racial pain. He didn't even marry a pretty white women, as usual, as is the case with most black males who marry/date white. She needs to have her teeth fixed and doing something about her wrinkles and flat butt!

No you were right the first time. You think all black men are that way. Dont pretend like you are trying to be fair. To begin with no one knows what happen with Tiger and the women he was supposedly involved with. This story breaks and all these women decides to come out to get a payday. You want to talk about black men but I did not see you talking about all the white women who make hoes of themselves by throwing themselves at men for the money. Do you actually think any of the women who were involved with him actually cared for him. They were looking for a payday. People need to mind their own business.

Tiger should have said, "I'm a whore and a playa; now get over it and watch my game."
Big ups to Snoop. Let him be young as long as he doesn't look like a few. He's smart, too.
