Dwyane Wade Calls Ex-Wife Crazy, Wants Full Custody of Children

Dwyane Wade and Siohvaughn Wade DivorceThroughout the his divorce, Dwyane Wade remained a stand-up guy, even when his wife, Siohvaughn, claimed that the NBA superstar gave her herpes, abandoned his children and went on E! airing out their dirty laundry. He has been quiet – until now.

Wade asked a court to give him full custody of his two sons and asked that his wife be forced to undergo a psychological examination.

"For more than two years, I have tried to make peace with Siohvaughn, concerning our divorce and custody of our kids," Wade said in a statement released to the Associated Press. "I no longer believe that's possible. Siohvaughn has consistently attempted to interrupt or prevent me from having visitation time with our boys. I'm sorry to say that many of the things she has done during our marriage and throughout this divorce have convinced me that it is not in our children's best interest that she have custody. As a result, I have decided to fight for custody of our children. I feel our children's health and safety are at stake. Our two children are my top priority."

In the petition to the court, Wade said that his ex "has made it evident that she is unstable, dishonest, unbalanced, unwilling to accept responsibility for her actions, not of good character, and therefore, unfit to be a custodial parent."

Whose side are you on?

From the outset of the divorce proceedings, Wade has been the bigger person. He didn't disrespect his ex-wife in the media, he hardly ever talks about the divorce, and maintains that his children are what is most important to him at the moment. He also has a good chance of gaining full custody: According to eHow.com, "The number of fathers who have sole custody has increased 15 percent during the past two decades."

And Siohvaughn? She's taking on the role of the "crazy baby momma," the type of ex that isn't really concerned about the well-being of her children but rather focused on tearing down her ex-husband. Hurt people try to hurt other people, and the children get caught in the crossfire. It appears this is what Wade is trying to prevent with his latest petition to the court.

And with the way Wade has handled the proceedings thus far, being reserved in his comments on the case, I have no reason not to believe his latest claims. According to the E! report that ran back in February, Dwyane's two sons, Zaire, 8, and Zion, 2, desperately want to see their father. If it's true that Siohvaughn is purposely preventing them from seeing him, I am riding with Daddy 100 percent. There's nothing young boys need more than a stable, hardworking father to look up to and be with.

Besides, who would you rather be with: a crazy baby momma who is hung up on what her ex is doing or an NBA superstar daddy who is ready and willing to take care of you?
