B'ball superstar Dwyane Wade is "saddened" and "shocked" that his estranged wife, Siohvaughn, has made claims that he is damaging their children by engaging in sexual foreplay in front of them with his girlfriend, Gabrielle Union.
Wade, who is in the throes of a rather messy divorce, told TMZ:
"I am shocked that Siohvaughn Wade has brought this baseless and meritless lawsuit in the name of our children against Gabrielle Union." The Miami Heat guard went on to state, "I am deeply saddened and disappointed that Siohvaughn has used our sons once again as pawns and is now lashing out at Gabrielle, who is an innocent party. It is clear that this is a desperate attempt to retaliate against me for seeking sole custody of our children and requesting that the court have her undergo a psychiatric examination."
The soon-to-be ex-missus has accused Union of also being neglectful with her sons and is seeking more than $50,000 in damages from her. Union's camp is outraged by the venomous allegations and has apologized to the court system for having to hash out such false claims:
"Gabrielle apologizes to the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois, for tying them up with erroneous claims, when there are real victims who should be receiving the legal attention they need. Each and every allegation made is entirely false," said C. Anthony Mulrain, an attorney for Union.
The divorce case has been scheduled for June, however, there is a motion in place to have the date pushed back to September.
Wade's lawyers have reportedly made several moves to settle with his wife's legal camp, but they have refused.
It's also possible that the court could rule on Wade's custody plea before the divorce case goes to trial or is settled.
Meanwhile, there are other huge fish to fry. Wade has to deal with a few other legal entanglements that involve failed businesses. He will also opt out of the final year of his contract with the Heat and become a free agent July 1. He tells NBA News, "It's going to be a very busy summer, challenging summer and important summer for my life off the court and on the court," Wade said last week. "I have big decisions ahead of me. It's not easy."
On the flip side, Siohvaughn also has a little legal mess to clean up. Apparently, the young woman also recently filed a libel-slander lawsuit against former friend Andrea Williams, who claimed in a deposition that Siohvaughn bought a male lover, whom she'd an affair with from 2004 through 2007, a car and a motorcycle. It is alleged that Siohvaughn threatened to find a gun and shoot Wade and voluntarily entered an Illinois hospital to deal with her anger-related issues.
To make matters worse, Siohvaughn also lost her divorce legal reps, Nottage and Ward LLP, in Chicago due to "an impasse" and "irreconcilable differences" between them all.

disappointed in Gabrielle Union; if its a messy divorce shouldn't this man clean it up before starting another relationship?

AMEN!!! I mean you want this guy so bad that you're willing to go through all that drama to keep him? I know Gabby is not the cause of this marriage breaking up but this is just too much. He keeps talking about how crazy Siohvaughn is but everybody knows that Dwyane was creeping from the get go and Gabby should ask herself, Is it really worth it and remember there is always two sides to every story and she's only heard his side. There is a reason why Siohvaughn is tripping. THINK, GABBY,THINK!!!!!!

Didn't I just see a show call Basketball wives on Bravo or We, where Mrs Wade explained how she and Dwayne were high school sweethearts yada yada? What the Heck is going on????????????? Dwayne have you no shame and Gabby - like my office mate says "What the French"??????????? Mrs Wade, to quote your idiot husband :We are "saddened" and "shocked" that you would treat Siohvaughn in this manner!!!!!!!! You are damaging your children by engaging in this behavior- HAVE YOU NO SHAME- I AM SURE YOUR MAMA DIDN'T RAISE YOU TO BE A FREAKING FOOL!

You dont know how long they've been estranged and how long they've been separated to make that judgment. So he is supposed to put his life on hold while his wife continues to make accusations that may not be true?

Yes, he should have, like my ex did. Divorce was final and they were living in two separate time zones. She flew back and forth, played games using the children, and went as far as to say that one of the children told her that we "were kissing and smooching all over the place," which was not true. Her words for me were, "the B will not raise my children," even though she doesn't, he does. She further advised them that they do not have to listen to anything I say and if I say something to tell me to shut up. And one of them made the mistake of doing so. And the list goes on. Then when the wedding was approaching, she decides to fight for custody. Many women do this desperate ishbanu all the time. They play their children against the ex better than MJ played basketball and that's pretty darn good. And this is what Siohvaughn is doing. I pray that Gabrielle and Dwayne just remain prayerful and strong in their love for one another.

It seems like most of the guys are on Dwaynes side and the ladies are on his soon to be ex-wifes side. None of us really knows what happend to bring them to this point, but I think they should both stay single until the divorce is final. It doesn't matter how long they were separated cause they are still married. And there is no reason for Gabby to be dating a married man. There is nothing she can say in my eyes to justify that. She should be a woman and back up and let them resolve their problems and finalize the divorce.

This is whats wrong with people today, Mr. Wade isn't even divorce, and he sleeping with Ms. Union. Couldn't he had waited until he is divorce before laying up with another woman? Didn't he realize? That his soon to be ex would come at him with everything she could mustard! That shows me how dumb most men are, they think with their little head and not with their big head. I would have though Ms. Union would have known better then to get involved with a man who is still married, and have all this drama surrounding him. I guess that shows you how selfish and self-center people really are. Channe, how can you hope that they will stay prayerful when it's wrong what they're doing? You use prayerful, so I assuming you believe in the word of God. So you know what their doing goes against God's word? And now the children, have to endure all this drama that their mother is putting on Mr. Wade and Ms. Union.

I can hope that they will remain prayerful very easy. If they put God in this relationship, He will reveal to them what is right, what is wrong, and what is His will. It is just that simple. And the point that I made that was totally missed is that if he was divorced, Siohvaughn would be doing the exact same thing she is doing now.

People, It is not about Union. It is about the best interest of the children. It sounds like the wife has a problem with not going to be Mrs Wade anymore. She sounds sick.

It looks like Dwayne put up with the loon as long as he could. Then he met a really nice woman with beauty, class, her own money, and a sound mind, and he ran for his sanity. I'm not saying it's right, but I understand. His soon-to-be-ex needs to salvage her self respect and move on. All this bitter drama is just sour grapes and will ultimately turn her children against her.
