Lynette Taylor, wife of NFL superstar and former 'Dancing with the Stars' contestant Lawrence Taylor, who was recently charged with raping a minor, is undoubtedly sticking with her man all the way. Lynette, who has made her feelings very public, regarding the rape charge, says she has complete faith in her husband and is convinced that he is totally innocent.
Once referred to as one of the "greatest defensive players in NFL history," Taylor was charged this week with a felony count of third-degree rape (in which a person older than age 21 has sexual intercourse with a person who is younger than 17), as well as a misdemeanor count of patronizing a prostitute. The former New York Giants "Superman" and MVP winner is facing up to 5 years in jail if convicted of both crimes. He was released yesterday on a $75,000 bond.
Taylor's third wife told TMZ that all of the rape allegations are "just bullsh*t!" Lynette also staunchly believes that her husband had been "set up." When asked why anyone would want to "set up" the former NFL legend, she explained that Taylor had just been the subject of an documentary entitled "Fame and Fortune," where, she says, the depiction of her husband in the television special was negative: "They made him out to be a monster."
Although Lynette would not divulge more of her reasoning for suspecting Taylor was set up, she implied that the timing of the arrest and the airing of the show might be suspiciously linked.
Unfortunately, brushes with the law is not unfamiliar territory for Taylor. He has had several arrests for drug possession. Taylor was again placed in cuffs only last November 2009, when he was charged with a hit-and-run in Dade County, Fla.
Oddly enough, back in 2003, Taylor was interviewed by then-host Mike Wallace for the CBS-TV news magazine format show "60 Minutes." During his conversation with the host, Taylor admitted, he had hired and sent out prostitutes to his opponents' hotel rooms the night before a game in an attempt to tire them out.

Girl the man is a whore monger. face up to it. why would you take your two legs and walk into a motel room then you have the nerve to open your damnnn mouth about this no good monster. Girl just go away like his other two wives.
I so hope this dude did not hire a 15 yr old prostitute to have sex with. I mean, all the cast of characters are lined up, and unless it was a different person, other than Taylor, this is not looking good, unless it is an all outright lie. There's no question about Taylor's storied and checkered past, maybe present, but I don't want to see anyone punished for something they didn't do. If they ARE guilty, then they should be punished.
Yeah, he was set up...he was set up with a 16 yr old prostitute. That's what pimps do, they find prostitutes for men. I am sure the pimp didn't fly her to meet LT for an 'autograph'. I could halfway see if he told the pimp that he wanted a 'tenderoni', then he could say he didn't realize she was 16, and he could have walked away. BUT... he "allegedly" had sex with her, and so yeah, that "date" was set up.
Federal Authorities: Lawrance Taylor says he paid for sex.
Disgraced gridiron great Lawrence Taylor admitted paying for sex at a suburban Holiday Inn where police say he raped a 16-year-old runaway, federal prosecutors said Friday in a criminal complaint against the girl's alleged pimp.
The papers filed in federal court in Manhattan refer to Taylor only as "Client-1."
In the paperwork, authorities claim the Pro Football Hall of Famer told police following his arrest on Thursday that he had taken a car service from Newark International Airport to the hotel north of New York City to meet "Victim-1."
Taylor told investigators that after "engaging in sex acts" with the victim, he paid her $300 in cash, the complaint says. The man charged in the complaint, Rasheed Davis, had told the Giants legend that the girl was 19, the court papers say.
Taylor, 51, was charged Thursday in Suffern, N.Y. with third-degree rape and patronizing a prostitute. His lawyer, Arthur Aidala, has denied the charges.
Davis was to appear in federal court later Friday on a charge of sex trafficking of a minor.
The girl, who was reported missing by her family in March, met Davis at a Bronx bus stop two to three weeks ago. The federal complaint says she told investigators that the 36-year-old parolee offered her a place to live and a way to make money.
She said that Davis gave her Ecstasy and marijuana before causing her "to engage in multiple commercial sex acts" for prices ranging from $80 to $150.
He advertised her services by sending cell phone photos of her and posting ads on Web sites, the complaint says.
On Wednesday, Davis sent the girl a text message in which he said he wanted her to have sex with "Client-1" for $300, the complaint says. When she refused, Davis assaulted her, drove her to the hotel against her will and waited outside while she had sex with Taylor, it says.
Late Wednesday and early Thursday, the girl sent text messages to her uncle saying she was in trouble. The uncle called police, who arrested Davis once he returned to the Bronx with the teenager.
Police believe Taylor used a middleman to arrange the liaison, but said Friday they hadn't identified that person.
Davis was sentenced in April 1994 to eight to 25 years in prison for first-degree manslaughter. He was paroled in March 2008.
Taylor anchored the Giants' defense and led them to Super Bowls titles in 1987 and 1991. He was selected to the NFL's 75th Anniversary All-Time Team.
A 10-time Pro Bowler, he was the NFL Most Valuable Player in 1986 and the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 1981, 1982 and 1986.
The weight-loss company NutriSystem Inc. said Friday it had dropped Taylor as a spokesman because of his arrest.
Everybody slow down, no one knows the whole story...I hope and pray that this is not true...but if he did this then let the law handle it but if he did not do this, we must get to the bottom of this. I did not know that their where pimps around today but if so what is the pimp being charge with? People, please lets back LT, lets pray for him, show love for him, because this could happen to anyone and Yes the devil can set you up, and without someone believing in you he will take you out....so please wait; hold on to your opinions and lets deal with facts only.. Please!
